The Chagford Inn is situated on the beautiful landscape of Dartmoor. We are passionate about providing great food and drink.

Situated in the Dartmoor National Park, the Chagford Inn prides itself on the quality of its ales, beers and wines. It also provides one of the most imaginative menus to be found in Devon. We use as many local suppliers as possible to keep our kitchen stocked with beef, lamb, game and fish brought in daily from the Devon coast. Our front bar has an informal arrangement of tables where you can relax with a drink or choose a meal from our lunch or dinner menus. There is a further dining room that can be used for private parties and dining and also hosts our art,. The Chagford Inn also has three comfortable en-suite bedrooms, two doubles and one with two single beds. We look forward to seeing you soon at The Chagford Inn.

Some of you might recognise this face! Elisha started working here with us at weekends on the front of house team taking orders, running food and looking after you all.

This month she’s moved within the team to become our full time apprentice commis chef, and we couldn’t be prouder. She already knows how the pub runs and what our regulars love, so she’s got a real head start!

We’re so excited to share all our knowledge with Elisha and grow alongside her. Here’s to a very exciting chapter for the Chagford Inn and Elisha 👩‍🍳

A little Saturday notice from us 💍 🥂

We’re closing our doors on Saturday for the day while we host a special wedding celebration here at the inn.

We’ll be back open as normal on Sunday - see you then!

What a morning 🤍

Today, we enjoyed breakfast together as a team, followed by a wellbeing walk to enjoy some time together. It’s easy to get caught up in the busy-ness of wedding season and summer at the pub, so moments like this matter to us, and to the way we work.

When we first took on The Chagford Inn, we had a lot to learn. We’ve grown, evolved and learnt so much along the way, but one thing has always remained at the heart of everything we do is honest cooking, warm hospitality and creating an experience people want to come back to.

This recognition is only possible because of the incredible people behind it. We’re hugely proud of our kitchen and front of house team, whose hard work, passion and dedication are the foundation of everything The Chagford Inn has become.

A huge thank you also goes to our fantastic suppliers. The quality of every dish and drink starts with the produce you provide, and we’re incredibly grateful to work with such brilliant businesses.

And finally, to every guest who has chosen a table with us, supported us from day one or returned time and time again…thank you. Your support means the world to us, and this achievement is one we’re delighted to share with you all.

Introducing Hound…

After months of hard work and careful craftsmanship, we’re proud to finally unveil Hound.

Layered in rich greens, warm textures, and statement fabrics, this room is our take on relaxed luxury - bold, characterful, and designed to feel both indulgent and inviting. From the handcrafted details to the soft, cosy finishes, every element has been chosen to create a space you won’t want to leave.

It’s been a pleasure working again with Demi Keenan on this project.
