It feels like only yesterday we were pulling on our walking boots and setting off across the Dartmoor moorland, surrounded by wonderful people, all coming together for a cause close to our hearts. 💚💜

Almost two weeks on from Devon’s first Walk for Wellbeing, we’re looking back on a really special day raising money for , supporting the people behind our industry when they need it most.

We’re incredibly proud to have raised over £6,900, contributing to more than £12,000 collectively raised across Devon.

A huge thank you to everyone who walked, donated and supported this wonderful cause. Every step made a difference. 💜

They’ve been taking aim on the estate, enjoying a little rest in peace at our Elan Spa, getting into the spirit of Press & Pour, putting their feet up at Smith’s and treating themselves to a dead good dinner. 👻🎃

We’re absolutely delighted to share that Bovey Castle’s Great Western Grill has been named a finalist in the Devon Tourism Awards for Restaurant & Casual Dining of the Year!

It’s always special to see the hard work and passion of our team recognised, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who helps make dining at Bovey such a memorable experience.A huge congratulations to our wonderful team, and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has joined us around the table.

On Sunday, we were incredibly proud to co-host Devon's very first Walk for Wellbeing alongside Ilsington Country House Hotel, bringing together hospitality teams from across the county for an unforgettable adventure through Dartmoor National Park.

This year's walk was particularly special as 2026 marks 75 years of Dartmoor National Park. For generations, this extraordinary landscape has offered a place to explore, reconnect with nature and enjoy the great outdoors. A wonderful reminder of the importance of protecting its beauty, wildlife and heritage for years to come.

What better setting to come together for a cause dedicated to wellbeing?

Behind every warm welcome, beautifully prepared meal and memorable stay are the people who make hospitality so special.

That is why we walked for Hospitality Action, a charity dedicated to supporting hospitality professionals and their families through difficult times. From financial hardship to mental health challenges and unexpected illness, their work provides a helping hand when it is needed most.

We are incredibly proud that our Bovey Castle team has raised over £6,900, contributing to more than £12,000 raised collectively across Devon!

A heartfelt thank you to our fellow fundraisers from Ilsington Country House Hotel, Exeter Golf and Country Club, Visit Devon, Food Drink Devon, Devon Hotels Association, Visit Dartmoor, Visit South Devon and Burgh Island Hotel for making this inaugural Devon walk such a memorable occasion.

Special thanks also go to 29 Commando Royal Artillery and St John Ambulance for their invaluable support throughout the day.

To everyone who walked, donated, volunteered or cheered us on, thank you for making Devon's first Walk for Wellbeing something truly special.

The walking boots may be off, but there is still time to support our fundraising. 💜

We’ll be heading out across Dartmoor from Bovey Castle, bringing our team and community together alongside our friends at Ilsington Country House Hotel & Spa for a day of fresh air, good company and an important cause.
