Neils Monday Morning Moan.
OK as you may or may not know we are pretty much a rules free camping grounds where 'Common Sense' takes presedence.
Unfortunately a minority leave this at home when it comes to Rubbish, general housekeeping and Toilet etiquette.
1. Rubbish.
We have bins labeled for bottles cans paper/cardboard and general waste, we inform you that food waste is to be put in the compost area for chickens to sort and break down.
Basically we are left with tied up bin bags we have to sort that has all and sundry just dumped in it with zero thought used.
Not a pleasant job to do at any time.
Also personal rubbish such as clothing damaged items etc are bagged and left for us to deal with.
Please sort into the relevant bins and take your personal garbage home with you.
2. Communal areas.
If you use the communal fridge/freezer leave it how you found it. Not with food slops spillage and half eaten produce. If you cook on our free to use bbq's have the decency to clean it afterwards once cold. Not leave me to clear up your greasy mess. Used cold ash can go on the compost as informed.
Board games/toys etc. Please respect that they are not yours, don't damage boxes and please put away as and where you found them.
3.Toilets/shower.
OK we only have porta potty loos. But please ensure you clean up after use especially after your children. I have had to clean massively blocked toilets stuffed to the brim with paper/loo roll tubes, sanitary products and even knickers. Also faeces left on bowl seats lids and hand basin.
Same goes for the shower, do I enjoy clearing up hair dreadlocks shampoo spills etc ? No
We keep our prices low to make it an affordable family break. Having to spend endless unnecessary hrs rectifying issues is only fuelling possible future price increases.
So...
Take it home
Take a look
Take a minute to think.
Rant over.
