Look at me going to church in Warwick, and then we saw deer and the best geese parents raising six goslings!

We had fish and chips, just fish for me then in a little ferry we crossed the river Avon.
And now I'm very tired and dreaming of my day tomorrow.....can it be better, we are moving on to the Cotswolds, I think my nature days are the best!!

One of the best things about life here at Oakmere Country Park is our fantastic community, and we love it when our lodge owners share their favourite local gems!

This week, one of our owners recommended a fantastic day out just a short 15 minute drive from the park, Macdonald Portal Hotel, Golf & Spa in Tarporley.

If you are looking to treat yourself, family, or friends, then this would be a great way.

For the Golfers: Macdonald Portal Hotel has three incredible courses, including a world class championship course. Perfect if you want to swap the Cheshire views for the fairways for a morning.

For the Spa Lovers: If total relaxation is more your pace, their thermal spa suite features a heated pool, sauna, steam room, and an ice room. It's the ultimate way to unwind.

For the Foodies: Our owners highly recommend booking a table at the Salt Brasserie for some incredible food and drinks to finish off the day.

First mummy squirrel used to shimmy up and pinch the meal worms now baby squirrel has decided that it prefers sunflower seeds. The birds loss on park is our gain because we get to see these cheeky little devils close up. One of lifes great joys is feeding the wildlife and getting closer to nature.

Calling all dog lovers! We need your help to change a life.

If you’ve visited us at Oakmere Country Park, you already know we are an incredibly dog friendly park. Most of our staff are proud dog parents, and many of our wonderful owners on site have furry companions of their own. Dogs are truly at the heart of our community here!

This cause is incredibly close to our hearts because of our own little Ted. Ted came to us after a rough start in life, but with a lot of love and patience, he blossomed into the happy boy he is today. We want to give another mistreated dog that exact same second chance.

We’ve set a goal, and we know our amazing Oakmere community can smash it:
• When we hit £200: we will officially give an abandoned or abused dog the ultimate gift of life. The best part? We will get to see which dog exactly we have helped rescue and rehabilitate!
• If we reach over £300: We can expand our support even further to help multiple dogs in desperate need.

To say a massive thank you, if our total reaches over £400, we will run a special prize draw! Everyone who has donated will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a bottle of champagne.

Here is something different, for those who are looking for a single lodge with a twist. This lodge, a Pemberton Marlow Centre Lounge, offers the owner kitchen, dining and living space in the centre with the two bedrooms at either end, one being a twin with shower room and the master at the opposite end has a king size bed, bathroom with tub and walk in wardrobe.

The fabulous thing is what fun you can have designing the decking and outside veranda space. This is truly a lodge for enjoying the outdoors, entertaining and alfresco dining.
