SOMETHING NEW IS COMING TO ROUNDWOOD.

This December, Roundwood becomes home to Club Curl, an après-ski village and Norwich’s first curling experience.

So what is it? Curling is the winter sport where you slide a stone down the ice and try to get it closer to the target than the other team. Club Curl’s version is simplified and played on ten artificial lanes, so you don’t need any experience. The team will show you the slide, hand you a stone, and leave you and your crew to it.

Around the lanes there’s a bar serving mulled c***r, beers and proper cocktails. Justin from The Cabin is cooking alpine-inspired food, and there are live DJs and seating for up to 240.

It’s open every day from 2 December. You can book a lane with friends or family, bring a group, or come to one of six adults-only Party Nights on Fridays and Saturdays. Early bird Party Night tickets are £50 a head until 31 October.

📣 We’re Hiring – Part-Time Administrator

Roundwood in Taverham is looking for a highly organised and friendly person to join our team for 20 hours per week.

This is a varied role working across our indoor bowls club, holiday accommodation and campsite, including:

🏡 Holiday let and campsite bookings
🎳 Bowls club administration
📧 Customer enquiries and bookings
💻 Managing a range of computer systems
🤝 Supporting members, guests and visitors

We’re looking for someone who is:
✔ Super organised
✔ Confident with computers and online systems
✔ Good with people
✔ Able to juggle several tasks at once
✔ Interested in bowls, or willing to learn

The role includes a mixture of evening, weekend and daytime hours and is fully based onsite at Roundwood in Taverham – it is not a work-from-home position.

Next week sees the start of an exciting partnership between Roundwood Bowls Norwich and Active Norfolk as we begin an 8-week Bowl for Health programme at Roundwood!

Whether you’ve recently retired, are looking to get out and about a little more, or simply fancy trying something different, this is a great opportunity to give bowls a go in a friendly, relaxed and welcoming environment.

🌟 No experience or equipment needed – just come along and give it a try!

Our first session is on Monday at 4pm, and it’s completely FREE. We’ll even be providing refreshments afterwards, giving you a chance to relax, have a chat and get to know everyone.
