Did you know…you can now spread the cost of your booking deposit across four interest-free monthly instalments.

Secure your preferred dates with an optional £100 holding deposit. This keeps your dates reserved for 10 days and is deducted from your final balance. Once you are ready to confirm, the 30% booking deposit can be paid in four instalments across 4 months.

The remaining balance is then due 10 weeks before arrival.

A little more time to pay, and more time to look forward to your escape.

After 20 wonderful years of Horspool Retreat, we’ve made a very difficult decision…

We’ve added a brand-new 6-person hot tub, ready for long soaks, slow mornings and evenings under the stars.

There are only a handful of dates left this autumn:

September: 2–4, 16–18 & 22–24
October: 13–16
November: selected midweek stays, with 27–29 November currently our next available weekend.

When we renovated the once derelict farm that is now known as Horspool, the old vaulted threshing barn presented us with a bit of a dilemma.

The space was very large, with soaring ceilings, huge original beams and enough of an echo to make it feel like a pretty impressive concert hall! 😂

For a long time, our family debated what to do with it. A cinema room was one option, while an indoor swimming pool was the other, and it became quite the family debate.

In the end, we chose the pool. Being in the UK, we wanted a space that could be enjoyed all year round, whatever the weather, and we felt an indoor pool would make the most of this incredible old barn.

Fast forward more than two decades, and thousands of guests have enjoyed our pool, made memories, celebrated special occasions and, hopefully, had plenty of fun along the way. 🏊‍♀️

It’s funny to think that what was once a derelict farm building has become one of the most-loved parts of Horspool. 🤍
