Horspool Retreat provides distinctive and luxurious facilities in surroundings of tranquil and scenic beauty in Nottinghamshire. Set in 20 acres of private gated land. We sleep large groups up to 29 over a 2 night weekend stay. Mid week Sunday to Thursday, we offer rates from just 2 sharing up to 29, with all facilities exclusive. We are child and pet friendly and welcome same s*x groups. Indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi, Sky and satellite internet, luxury Egyptian cotton bedding and towels. No hidden extras. Relax in private 5 Star Gold Awarded Accommodation, by Quality in Tourism and the AA. We are the only property of our type in the Midlands to have achieved these awards.

A weekend at Horspool this December… or a wait until September 2027.

That’s how booked up our weekend calendar is.

18–20 December is our LAST available weekend before September next year. And across the whole of 2027? Just SEVEN weekends remain.

So if your group chat has been saying “we’ll sort something”, this is probably the one to send them.

Get your favourite people together for a Christmas escape, with your own swimming pool, outdoor hot tub and a house sleeping up to 36. Big dinners, festive drinks and a whole weekend together before everyone disappears into their Christmas plans.

The two-night stay is £3,880 for up to 20 guests, £194 each for the weekend when split between 20, or £97 per person per night.

Fewer than 20? You’re welcome too; the same minimum price applies. More than 20? Message us for your group’s price.

We also have two December midweek openings if a weekday escape suits you better.

As for 2027, there’s just one weekend available in September, one in October, and the remaining five in November and December.

We would act surprised, but it’s the 16th year running👀

Five Star Self Catering and a VisitEngland Gold Award for Horspool Retreat. Again.

We’re absolutely going to make a fuss about this. Behind those certificates are 16 years of hard work, a family who care an awful lot, and all the little details guests might never realise we’ve agonised over.
