This photo was taken from the point at Asknish Bay, one of Harris and Rocket's favourite places for their morning and evening walks.

It's a lovely little walk along the shoreline, with views across the bay and back towards the hotel.

From roast pepper and aubergine bruschetta and our plant burger to a warm chocolate brownie or poached and roasted pineapple with mango sorbet and pistachio praline, there's plenty to choose from!

🎃 Happy Halloween from all of us at Loch Melfort!

We have one more month of welcoming guests before our winter break, and it's one of our favourite times of year. Cosy evenings by the fire, a glass of something lovely in hand, and a warm welcome waiting inside after a day exploring beautiful Argyll. 🍂🔥

Becca and Emma have been getting us into the Halloween spirit with their fabulous pumpkin carving, and we think their creations look right at home beside the fire!

Proposals for a four-year convoy system on the Old Military Road at the Rest and Be Thankful are raising serious concerns for businesses and communities across Argyll.

The A83 is one of the main routes our guests use to reach Loch Melfort, and prolonged disruption could have a significant impact on tourism and the many local businesses that depend on visitors.

We fully support the need for a safer, more reliable road, but believe the impact of these proposals on local communities must be taken seriously.

There's a lovely story behind these handmade walking sticks, which you'll find in our front lobby. ❤️

They were made by the late father of one of our team members, who grew up at Barbreck, just ten minutes from Loch Melfort.

She remembers watching her father spend hours in his workshop, carefully shaping hazel wood and crafting handles from horn and antler. Every stick was made and finished by hand, so no two are quite the same.

Now, she'd love to see her father's work go to good homes, where the sticks can be enjoyed and used for years to come.

We always value the feedback of our guests, and this one from our recent visitor, Natalie, was one worth celebrating.

While staying at the hotel, she chose our Catch of the Day Special in the restaurant, and Chef was pleased to hear that it was so good that she rated it her "best meal of the year".
