We wanted to give everyone an update regarding our kitchen opening at The Taversoe Inn.
Unfortunately, due to delays with essential restaurant furniture and some remaining kitchen work, we’re not quite in a position to launch our full food service just yet. As a result, we’ll be delaying our full kitchen reopening until Friday 8th May.
In the meantime:
* We will not be offering lunch service
* Evening food will be limited to pre-booked orders or takeaway only, depending on availability
We’re really sorry for the delay, especially after such a strong start and all the support you’ve shown us. As many of you have seen, we’ve been working around the clock since arriving at the start of April to get everything ready under a huge amount of pressure. Some of the remaining work requires specialist trades and equipment, which can take a bit longer to reach us here on Rousay.
On top of that, delivery delays—especially with larger items—have unfortunately set us back further than planned, and with the bank holiday weekend, we’re unable to rely on anything arriving in time.
We’ll be releasing a restricted menu tomorrow, once we have a clearer picture of what we can offer over the next few days.
Thank you again for your patience and continued support—it genuinely means a lot to us, and we can’t wait to welcome you properly for full service very soon.
