Following last week's bank holiday we held our annual Summer BBQ, where staff from throughout the College gathered to celebrate the season ahead of our students returning in October. The BBQ gives staff from every department, academic and non-academic, a chance to relax and get to know their coworkers.

Feeling refreshed, we're now looking forward to the busyness of the final few months of 2026.

As the summer sun starts to fade, we're looking back at some of the highlights from August 2026.

Family Day - for the first time we offered use of our Sports Ground as a dry hire venue. We hosted over 750 people for a fun filled weekend including live music and carnival games.

Wedding - we were delighted to host 2 alumni weddings during August this year. Each celebration began with the ceremony in our stunning Chapel, followed by a cocktail hour on our Liddon Quad, wedding breakfast in our Dining Hall, and dancing the night away in our College Bar.

Training Residential - the whole College was booked out by a corporate client for a training week. Making use of all our meeting rooms and accommodation, with dining in Hall each day and ending with a gala dinner on the final night.

After months of dry weather, last week we had our first true rainfall since June

Even after 150 years, there are still a few firsts left for Keble College. Earlier this month we crossed another off when we hosted the 25th anniversary celebration of a local business on our Sports Ground in North Oxford.

The fields were transformed for a sunny weekend of good music, good food, and good fun.

Last week we hosted the wedding of one of our alumni here at Keble College.

Beginning with the ceremony in our stunning Chapel, followed by cocktail hour (accompanied by a 5-piece band) on our Liddon Quad, wedding breakfast in our Dining Hall, and dancing the night away in our College Bar.

Congratulations to the happy couple! 🥂

We're wrapping up July by taking a look back at the highlights from the first month of our summer Conference Season.

Summer Schools - throughout July we hosted several Summer School groups who made use of all of our meeting rooms and accommodation. They also enjoyed formal dinners in our Dining Hall to celebrate their time in Oxford.

BBQ - as part of our Summer School offerings, we hosted BBQ's on our Hayward Quad in the sunshine.

Formal Dinner - we hosted an intimate dinner in one of our SCR dining rooms for 16 people.

This International Day of Friendship we are looking back at some of the furry (and feathered) friends that have been spotted at Keble College over the years.

Please pardon our appearance, we've been having some work done.

Our Chapel has been closed throughout July as it undergoes some much needed external renovations during our summer building works. We will be open again for visitors, weddings, and concerts later in the summer.

Available to book from August - April each year, with seating for up to 200 people in one of Oxford's most ornate Chapels, the Keble Chapel is the perfect venue for your next concert or choral performance.
