October is a funny one here at The Cosy Coastal van — half-term brings a last little flurry of life to the beaches, then it all goes quiet again.

We love this bit. The light gets softer, the walks get emptier, and Cornwall starts to feel like it belongs to you again.

Who else prefers Cornwall out of season?

So another weekend, another change over of guests and the opportunity to make another couple of little changes to The Cosy Coastal van .

Being a new venture I always like to hear any feedback guests may have on what could improve their stay and a lovely guest who stayed recently had a great suggestion that a side table by the armchair might be handy for their cup of coffee ( or in my case glass of Prosecco!😉) so voila! In keeping with the coastal theme a new wicker butler tray style has been included. 🥂

It was also time for an upgrade on the blinds in the main bedroom and so some gorgeous new wooden blinds have also been installed today.

It might be the middle of October but its still a fantastic time to be staying at The Cosy Coastal van and being able to sit outside in garden listening to the birds singing and watching the sun slowly setting on another day …

Well as we’re already mid way through October it won’t be long before it’s time to think about Christmas ! 🫣 🎄 🎁 so why not combine a long weekend away with some relaxing beach walks and some Christmas shopping!
The Royal Cornwall Show ground is based just outside Wadebridge and is about a 10 - 15 min drive from The Cosy Coastal van
