A little bit of between guests life at Kitty House.

A couple of cleans, a freshly cut lawn, quite a lot of weeding, swallows going mad outside the bedroom window and a trip into Penrith for all the little bits and pieces we put out for our guests.

Two lovely stays came to an end over the weekend, and today another guest arrived.

It’s been a little warmer again the last couple of days too.

Most people plan a Lake District break around what they’ll do.
The walks. The routes. The views.

But what often shapes the trip just as much is what happens after those long days outside.

The North Lakes have a way of amplifying this, big scenery, quieter evenings, darker skies.
When the base is right, everything else feels easier.

It’s been a while since I last posted, and a lot has changed here. Some of our old ash trees have had to come down due to ash dieback, opening up spaces we never expected. And for those of you who’ve visited us over the years, we also said goodbye to our beloved Whiskas. He was part of the place for so long, and we know many of you loved him too ❤️
