Sad to share that food service at The Highland Drove Inn has ceased with immediate effect. This is real shame as they worked hard with their menu and offered some lovely, varied dishes.
The pub is still open for drinks.
Another small business feeling the economic pinch 😔

*IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT*

Unfortunately it’s become clear over the last few months that our time at The Drove is coming to a close. Times are increasingly hard for pubs and with rising costs all around we can no longer see a way to make our vision for The Drove a reality anymore. We want to keep the pub open for as long as we can and will try to stay on until someone else takes over but we don’t know how long that will be at the moment. The first step to this transition will be to close the kitchen as of today and only run the bar from now on as food waste is a real issue.

We’ve had some amazing times at the pub, our boys have grown up here and we will treasure so many memories. Great Salkeld is a very special village and we are so grateful to everyone who has supported us.

We will keep you updated as we know more. Anyone who has a booking for food in the upcoming months will be contacted directly. Thank you.
