Another lovely day. We took an afternoon stroll at Land's End. It seems so quiet at this time of the year.

What a lovely day. Guests are here for 10 days so they arrived in the aftermath of Storm Austen, but have been treated to warm sunshine for the past few days. They were even heading off to the beach with buckets and spades yesterday. I have taken the opportunity to get most of the grass cut.

Unexpected availability at Lebanon Cottage for early November!

Last minute some guests are not able to to make their holiday, so Lebanon Cottage is now available for the beginning of November, either for a full week or a shorter break.

With Bonfire Night coming up, it might be worth considering if you've got a dog who struggles with fireworks.

We can't promise a firework-free stay, but it does tend to be much quieter here than in many parts of the country. We've had guests choose to stay with us at this time of year for that very reason.

So what do you actually get downstairs at Lebanon Cottage?

The kitchen diner has everything you’d expect for cooking while you’re away, including a dishwasher because nobody wants to spend their holiday washing up! There’s also a cupboard specifically for dog stuff, and an undercounter freezer if you need somewhere to store frozen dog food.

The separate lounge is somewhere to put your feet up at the end of the day, with room for dog beds and crates too. There’s also a desk tucked into the corner if you need it.

The porch gives you somewhere to leave coats and outdoor gear, and there’s a downstairs toilet just inside the front door.

Practical, comfortable and set up for people holidaying with dogs.

After the storms of the last two days it was great to get out! Pasty from Philps in Hayle then down to the National Trust car park at Godrevy. Instead of heading along the coast path to the lighthouse, today we went left to the nature reserve. Nice stroll with good flat walking with only a few large puddles. Then a quick coffee at Dobbies garden centre on the way home. What a lovely day.

I’ve been going to Land’s End since I was a kid, and yes, it’s changed a lot over the years and become much more commercialised.

But get away from the main visitor area and there are still some lovely quieter paths to explore, with those huge coastal views. It’s also a great place to catch a sunset.

It's also great to park at Sennen Cove harbour car park and walk up towards Land’s End from there.

Well, that was an 'exciting' night. I woke up around 4am to hear the wind battering the outside of the house. This morning, not any damage as such, just a few things re-arranged 🤣 and some plants battered ... I am glad I picked these yesterday for guests.
The winds are still 50mph gusts and we've got another storm coming in tomorrow, but this is more normal for us living on the Atlantic coast.

So what do you actually get upstairs at Lebanon Cottage?

There are three bedrooms. The main bedroom is double aspect, with a king-size bed and plenty of wardrobe and drawer storage. The second bedroom can be set up as either a twin or a superking, and there’s also a separate single bedroom.

The bathroom has a full-sized bath as well as a large separate shower, and there’s another toilet downstairs, which can be very useful if there are five of you!

It all makes the upstairs practical and comfortable, whether you’re coming as a couple, with family or with friends.

If you’re thinking about Lebanon Cottage for 2027, now is a good time to get your dates sorted.

A lot of our fabulous regular guests have already booked, along with a few new ones as well.

You won’t find Lebanon Cottage on the big booking sites. We only take bookings direct, which means there are no platform commissions and VAT to build into the price you pay.
