🍂 A Scottish Harvest at Maycroft 🍂
We recently had the loveliest opportunity to welcome 28 guests from America and Argentina to Maycroft for a Scottish Harvest and what an experience it was.
Our tipi was transformed into a beautiful dining space, with long tables dressed in tartan and Scottish wool. We wanted the setting to feel autumnal, but rooted in Scotland rather than following the more familiar pumpkin-filled idea of harvest. Helen from NELFIN STUDIO | Design Florist | Scotland created the most incredible tablescape using heather, moss, brambles, figs, and the most beautiful flowers, all reflecting the rich colours and textures of the season. It became a real talking point from the moment everyone stepped inside.
Fennel & Clove Catering prepared a wonderful barbecue feast from our outdoor cooking area, while The Horse's Tipple created a beautiful bar inside the tipi. As the candles flickered and the fairy lights began to glow, live music filled the space from the saxaphone and soon everyone was up dancing.
Even our little horsebox loo caused quite a stir! Guests never quite expect what they’ll find when they open the door, it’s always a lovely surprise.
We had planned a guided walk down the glen, but time simply slipped away over good food, music and conversation. Sometimes that is the sign of the very best gatherings.
With the autumn sunshine, the colours changing across the landscape and such a wonderful atmosphere inside the tipi, the whole day felt rather magical.
A heartfelt thank you to Loryn Popp and for trusting us with this special experience, and to:

🍂 Helen Finlayson Adams of Nelfin Studio
🍂 Fennel & Clove
🍂 The Horse’s Tipple
It was a joy to bring everyone together.
If you’re planning a wedding, celebration or a special experience for guests travelling to Scotland, our tipi is such a beautiful and adaptable space, we would love to help you make it your own.

What a joy to see Maycroft featured in The Simple Things magazine.

This has long been my favourite magazine. I subscribe every month and still feel genuinely excited when it arrives through the post. Its celebration of slow living, creativity, nature and life’s quieter pleasures feels so closely connected to everything we hope to create here at Maycroft.

This beautiful feature captures a retreat I held earlier this year - a weekend of flower crowns, nourishing food, meditation, time in the Wild Spa and space simply to pause and reconnect. Seeing those moments shared across these pages feels incredibly special, and we’re so grateful to have been included.

Next year, we’ll be creating another very special Maycroft retreat, inspired by that same beautiful blend of creativity, nature, rest and deeply nurturing wellness - “Held in Becoming”

If this sounds like something you would love to be part of, please get in touch for details and to book your place.

Autumn at Maycroft 🍂

There’s something about this time of year that makes you want to slow down.

Cooler mornings, golden trees, cosy evenings by the fire and a little more time spent wrapped up in the things that make you feel good.

Autumn at Maycroft is made for exactly that.

Come away for a few nights in one of our cosy pods, soak in your private hot tub as the evenings draw in, spend an afternoon in the sauna and cold plunge, or book a treatment at Meadowsweet Spa and let the rest of the world wait.

There are muddy walks, fresh country air, warm robes, slow breakfasts and evenings with nowhere else to be.

And with the colours changing around us, it really is one of our favourite times of year to be here. 🍁

Come and enjoy a little autumn reset at Maycroft.

Our autumn stays and wellness treatments are now available to book.
