48 hours in Perth… how are you spending yours? 📍

Start your morning with a walk through one of our recommended local walks, spend the afternoon exploring the city centre, discover some of the history and attractions on our doorstep at Scone Palace, then head back to Riverstone when you’re ready to put your feet up.

Good food, a drink (or two) and a cosy room waiting for you at the end of the day.

🛌 Wake up the next morning, enjoy a slower start and do it all over again.

Sometimes, 48 hours away is all you need.

Autumn will soon be on its way to Perthshire… 🍂

Soon, the greens surrounding Riverstone will begin turning shades of burnt orange and gold, the evenings will get a little darker and cosy season will officially begin.

It’s one of our favourite times of year to stay with us. Spend the day exploring Perth and the surrounding countryside, enjoy one of the many events happening locally, then head back to Riverstone for good food, a drink and a cosy night away.

Whether you’re planning an autumn weekend in Perth, visiting for an event or simply fancy a change of scenery, make Riverstone your base this season.

What a weekend in Perthshire. 🐎

With the International Horse Trials taking place at Scone Palace for the second year, it’s been a busy few days here at Riverstone, with a full hotel and plenty of guests joining us for food and drinks throughout the weekend.

We’ve loved welcoming everyone through our doors and being part of such a brilliant weekend for Perth.

A huge thank you to everyone who stayed, dined and drank with us - we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Please note that from Monday 24th August to Sunday 30th August, Riverstone Lodge will be open for takeaway only at the hotel. However our sister Restaurant Brown & Blacks will be available: 01738444987 for bookings.

Our usual dining service will be unavailable during this time as we support the Horse Trials, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We look forward to welcoming you for takeaway and supporting what promises to be a fantastic week of equestrian sport.

Looking for somewhere to stretch your legs while staying with us?

We’re lucky to have some beautiful walks right on our doorstep in Perth, whether you fancy an easy woodland wander or something with a view.

🌳 Highfield Woods:
Take a wander through Highfield Woods and across the new Highfield Green Bridge. Built as part of the Cross Tay Link Road, the bridge has been designed to maintain the woodland’s wildlife corridor and walking paths, allowing both people and local wildlife to safely cross above the new road.

🌿 Quarrymill Woodland Park:
A lovely choice for an easy-going walk, with over 2½ miles of routes winding through mixed woodland and alongside the Annaty Burn. There are accessible paths, seating and picnic areas along the way.

🥾 Kinnoull Hill:
For something a little more challenging, head up Kinnoull Hill. Follow the woodland trails towards the famous Kinnoull Tower and you’ll be rewarded with incredible views across the River Tay and surrounding Perthshire countryside. The Tower Trail is around 2 miles and takes approximately an hour.

The perfect way to spend a crisp morning before heading back to Riverstone for something to eat and a well-earned drink.

We are keeping the celebrations going after the final race with our free after-party, welcoming guests into our outdoor area for an evening of drinks, food and live DJ sets from Jaimie Selects, John McLean, Shaw Spowart and Mark Stuart.

With drinks flowing inside and out, the outdoor bar in full swing and the restaurant busy throughout the evening.

Guests have also been enjoying tonight’s Poke Bowl menu, alongside loaded nachos, sweet chilli chicken and plenty more.

The perfect way to round off a brilliant day at the races.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s joined us so far - the night’s not over yet!
