The typical Sunday.

The day dad gets to cut the grass, do the odd jobs that mum has asked him to do for the last 6 months or the day he gets dragged around the shops to be asked by his partner 'does my bum look big in this'? He will alway answer that it looks stunning on her, hes not stupid and doesnt have a death wish!

Come on give the poor man a break and let him do what he really wants to do. Sunday lunch at the local.

Whether that be here at the Queens Head or another local pub we beg you, please ladies, let the man have his me time with a cracking pint, a giant Yorkshire pudding, crisp roast potatoes and some succulent beef. You know he deserves it.

We have seen a mad influx of bookings for our Thursday steak offer. we must stress that if you have not booked we cannot guarantee you will be able to take advantage of the deal.

A 6oz sirloin steak from Trendalls, hand cut chips, homemade onion rings, tomato and mushroom for £15, its an amazing offer.

If you miss out don't worry, we have some super offers during the week on our homemade sausages and burgers you can still take advantage of.

It's been sausage and burger making day and another new flavour to add to the ever growing list.

These are not going to last too long, venison sausages and burgers made in house and the burger is even gluten free.

What a great turnout for our first Thursday steak night.

Did you miss out? dont worry we are doing it every Thursday from now on. A 6oz sirloin steak, chip, onion rings, tomato and mushroom for just £15 🥩

We have some amazing midweek deals on at the moment.

Monday lunch is our fish and chip special 12-2pm for just £10.

Tuesday is homemade sausage and mash night. We have over 8 flavours to choose from and all made in house by Paul. 1 person £12 and 2 people for £20

Wednesday is our homamde burger night. Lots of variety to choose from and the same prices as sausage night.

Keep an eye out for some venison sausages and burgers, Paul is just doing the butchery and so should be ready in a few days.

Sunday, what can we say. Probably the best value for money in the area. 1 course £17.50, 2 courses £21.50 and 3 courses for just £26. Children under 12 are £9.

Its a sausage and mash kind of day pop along and enjoy our homemade sausages for just £12 on a Tuesday evening or for 2 people its just £20

Wednesday is our very popular burger night AND its quiz night with guest quizmaster this month, Paul our chef.

We still have some space for this months steak night on Thursday. Just £12 for a 6oz sirloin, chips onion rings, mushroom and tomato.

As we move into the darker months it's time for a few changes to the menu.

Back comes the old favourite, our 6 hour braised shin of beef alongside some new dishes.

Some lovely sweet potato features on one of them. Pan fried in butter it's delicious.

We are absolutely chuffed to announce that we are in the new Good B**r Guide! Serving (and drinking!) quality proper b**r, i.e. Real Ale, is a cause that is very dear to Harriet and Simon's hearts and the major reason we wanted to run a pub!

This is an amazing recognition of the quality and variety of Real Ales on offer at the Queen's Head.
A massive thank you to our brilliant team for maintaining the quality of our b**r!

Lightbulb moment 💡

We are constantly making stocks for our menu and realised we throw lots of big beef bones in the bin afterwards.

Would anyone in the village like one for their dog before we discard them?
