Crisp autumn sunshine or a snowy winter morning, there’s something rather lovely about wrapping up warm, heading out for a walk and coming back to a roaring fire…

Tucked away on the edge of the Radnor Forest, Drovers Retreat is a lovely little escape for anyone who enjoys getting outdoors, exploring beautiful countryside and coming home to somewhere warm and cosy.

With woodland walks straight from the doorstep, dark skies perfect for stargazing and plenty of wildlife wandering about, there’s lots to enjoy whatever the season.

This beautiful Grade II listed stone cottage sleeps four, welcomes dogs and even was even was named Country Holiday Cottage of the Year in Wales 2025!

💚 No silly rules or unnecessary hoops to jump through - just clear, straightforward terms and a booking system designed to work for independent accommodation owners.
💚 Keep your existing booking channels - there’s no need to leave other platforms (unless you want to!) We’re simply another way for guests to find and book your property.
💚 Real, personal support - I work directly with our hosts, promote their properties and help guests find somewhere lovely to stay.

We’re a growing independent accommodation booking platform, showcasing almost 100 properties across Hay-on-Wye, Mid Wales and the Wye Valley.

After more than 20 years working in local hospitality and tourism, I wanted to create something that genuinely supports accommodation owners, without the hefty costs or impersonal approach of some larger platforms.

No upfront costs. No huge commissions. No monthly listing fees. Just another opportunity to get bookings.

Half term starts this week...And if you’re wondering how to keep everyone entertained, we’ve got a few ideas!

There’s plenty to see and do in and around Hay-on-Wye, Mid Wales and the Wye Valley, whatever the weather decides to do!

📚 Explore Hay with the Hay History Hunt, or discover Hay Castle in Hay-on-Wye

🏡 Head to the Treehouse Cafe Hay-on-Wye, where there’s lots of half-term activities planned for the kids, or perhaps pay a visit to Quackers Play Centre

🦙Enjoy a walk in the Brecon Beacons with some rather lovely four-legged companions at Alpaca My Boots

🏹 Head to the The Viking Games, for a little friendly competition and see who’s got the best aim!

🥾 Get outdoors! Explore the beautiful Elan Valley, take a guided walk with Sarah Price Hiking, or head off on your own. See how many carved animals the kids can spot hiding in the trees along the riverside path, climb Hay Bluff or take a walk to Pwll-y-Wrach waterfall near Talgarth.

☕️ And of course, no day out is complete without a coffee and cake stop! Trigg's at the Mill in Talgarth or Dugan's Patisserie in Hay are both worth a visit.

Whether you’re after a family adventure, a bit of history, some fresh air or just somewhere lovely for lunch, there’s plenty to keep everyone busy this half term.

We’re delighted to welcome Cabalva Ceramics to our Things to Do directory!

Tucked away in a beautiful walled kitchen garden near Whitney-on-Wye, this lovely pottery studio is run by ceramicist Corisande Albert.

And what better location to get creative? Right on the banks of the River Wye, with amazing views of the Black Mountains.

Whether you’ve never touched a pottery wheel before or already love working with clay, there’s something for everyone.

From pottery workshops and weekly classes to private sessions for couples, families and groups, it’s a wonderful way to
