Not a bad backdrop for some good news.

We’re delighted to share that Beinn Bhracaigh has been awarded a 2026 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award, placing us in the top 10% of listings worldwide, for the second year running.

This award means a great deal because it is based on guest reviews - from people who have stayed with us, enjoyed time in Pitlochry, looked out over this view, and taken a moment to share their experience.

So we thought this was the perfect spot to share the news: a quiet window to a beautiful view, a little Perthshire rain on the glass, and an award we’re incredibly proud of.

Our moody dark green bar is home to a carefully chosen collection of 38 whiskies, from smooth and gentle drams to rich, smoky pours with real Highland character.

To help guests explore the shelves with confidence, we’ve divided the collection into four simple flavour profiles:

Easy & Light - smooth, gentle, honeyed and soft
Fruity & Fresh - bright orchard fruits, citrus and a lively finish
Rich & Indulgent - sherry, caramel, raisin, toffee and chocolate
Smokey & Bold - peat smoke, bonfire, maritime salt and spice

Simply choose the profile that appeals to you, pick a dram from that section, and start exploring.

With 38 whiskies on the shelf, you’ll need more than a couple of nights to sample them all… which sounds like a very good reason to stay a little longer.

Beinn Bhracaigh is the perfect place to stay if you want to hike the glorious Ben Y Vrackie mountain. 841 metres at its peak, it's a fantastic walk with incredible, far-reaching views. You'll reach the beautiful, peaceful Loch a' Choire first, and then you can get to the peak via the stone steps.

It really is a true escape into fresh air, incredible views and total peace. Pack those walking boots and waterproofs and book with us now to explore Ben Y Vrackie this summer.

On World Whisky Day, a dram or two of the Owners Choice 26-year-old Aberfeldy hand-bottled, speciality cask is a perfect way to celebrate!

It doesn't have to be World Whisky Day to enjoy a visit to the lovely distillery where you can sample more of what they have to offer and see the whisky making process in action. Only 22 minutes drive from Beinn Bhracaigh - another one for the itinerary while you visit!

We welcome assistance dogs at Beinn Bhracaigh for those who need them, but behind the scenes, this dog is very little assistance with anything....! Hugo doesn't come into the guest areas in case anyone has an allergy, but he supervises back of house, having a very tough time with blueberry pancakes for breakfast and heaps of cushions... it's a rough life for a guest house whippet!

A two-hour drive through some wonderful scenery brings you to the absolutely breath-taking views through Glencoe and carrying on into Glen Etive where you can see the 'Skyfall Road' where 007 tested the steering of his Aston Martin DB5.

Stop in at the beautiful in Crianlarich for lovely sandwiches and wonderful cake on the way.

When it's this beautiful, driving becomes much more of a pleasure! 🚗
