Just because I’m moving, I cannot stop gardening. I want to leave Mouse cottage at its best and I want to have lots of lovely pots to help me make my new garden mine, right from the start.

Thank you for all your lovely comments after the 100,000 milestone and always. So deeply motivating and happy to receive.

I don’t think we’ve ever properly shared our watering can scarves from I designed them here in the garden inspired by my love of watering cans and a brief glimpse at some of my favourite designs through history. Anyway, they are bright and bouncy and make a fun accessory. You can see more by visiting the link in bio or stories and Rachel is poised to package and post if you should like to treat yourself!

Being creative is hugely important to me and working with my young friend on some new ideas inspired by .art ‘s taping technique which I discovered here on instagram led to a fun, colourful, productive and happy Sunday afternoon. Perhaps these will be prints or framed pieces or maybe even scarves.

It’s announcement time! I finally have the new house news I believe some of you have been waiting for. I’ll be leaving Mouse Cottage this summer and heading off for a beautiful adventure in Anstruther. Very exciting! Thank you so much for following along and for your patience, back to the packing I go!

Lots going on behind the scenes preparing for the now fast approaching move but I’m more in love with the garden than ever (snails aside) and we’ll be on Friday so it would be lovely to see you there and I really do urge you to go if you can, it’s Scotland’s answer to Chelsea!

An utterly golden evening in eager anticipation of which is set to be the biggest and possibly best to date. Taking place on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th May, do take a look and get your tickets.

This special preview amongst the most spectacular trees, took in the state dining room at the Palace and the wonderful gardens tended by just seven (!) full time gardeners, a few grass cutting mowers and volunteers. Magical.

I’m home now with a head full of ideas for planting, fencing and creating and that’s before the show gardens are finished and all the exhibitors arrive… don’t hesitate to book if you’re even vaguely considering it!

Very many thanks to Viscount William and the team and to those we met. See you in a couple of weeks.

Went bathroom shopping and then had the most terrific lunch last week. It was my first visit but certainly won’t be my last. This special dish was cooked to perfection 🤌🏻 and I’m still thinking about it almost a week later. So pick a friend/s make a date or decide on a whim after you’ve been shopping - just make sure you go to Perth Road to share all that’s about utterly delicious creation. Parking v nearby too.

The last of my daffodils. Just when I thought they were over. Final lemony narcissi still blooming (just) with alliums coming through and Dill companionship too!
