One of my favourite things about hosting at Hoe Park House is welcoming guests from all over the world.
This week we said goodbye to another lovely family from Switzerland, and today I noticed these two guest book entries sitting side by side. one from Switzerland and one from Canada. 🇨🇭🇨🇦
Over the years we’ve been lucky enough to welcome guests from across the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and throughout Europe, and it’s always a privilege to share our little corner of Plymouth with them.
It makes us especially happy that so many guests mention the artwork throughout the house. Much of it is by my brother and co-host, the wonderfully talented Derek Dickinson, alongside work by many other Plymouth artists. My partner and I are passionate collectors ourselves (our home in Berlin is just as full of art!), and we’re proud to support local artists wherever we can.
We’re always keen to discover new artists from Plymouth, Devon and our neighbouring county of Cornwall. If you think your work would be at home in Hoe Park House, or know someone whose work would, we’d love to hear from you. Feel free to tag them in the comments! 🎨
Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us and taken the time to leave such kind words. Reading comments like these never gets old. ❤️
We also have pieces by Liam Symes, Llyr Davies, , Julie Ellis, Thaïs and Andrea Brown, alongside works by the incomparable and Sir Joshua Reynolds.
