Although the fire is still burning, it is currently contained and there has been a significant decrease in the smoke affecting the campsite.

We have made the decision to reopen Willowacres campsite, but will continue to monitor the situation.

❌❌ IMPORTANT NOTICE ❌❌

As reported on the national news, there is currently a large wild fire across the mountain behind Willowacres campsite.

Although we are not directly at risk from the fire, the smoke produced is causing significant disruption to the surrounding area and the campsite.

Due to this, we have taken the decision to temporarily close the campsite until the situation has improved.

We will be contacting customers who have bookings over the coming days.

We will provide updates as the situation improves.

If you have a booking over the next couple of weeks and would like any information, please contact Willowacres directly.

We appreciate this is disappointing, but the safety of our customers is a priority.

Beautiful “Bluebella”. For a piece of sanctuary. Situated in a secluded wooded area away from the main site at Willowacres campsite. Complete with covered kitchen area, gas stove, kettle, a selection of pots and pans, a fire pit, compost toilet, hot shower and a solar powered cool box. Suitable for tent, campervan or tent box. At Willowacres campsite, each pitch has a covered kitchen area with gas stove, table with benches, a fire pit and a selection of pots and pans , a kettle, plates and cutlery. Also a compost toilet and hot shower. We have “The Baa” which is a communal sitting area with washing up facilities. There is also a communal hut with electric points for phone charging etc, plus use of fridges and freezers.
