Have you been in to try Chef Tyler’s cooking yet? Our kitchen team have been receiving some lovely messages recently about the exceptional dishes he’s creating. Tyler’s also been enjoying working with Diana in our kitchen garden, gathering ingredients such as blackcurrant leaf & nasturtium seed for his dishes.

If there was a competition for star of the summer, it would go to the balcony of Seall Lodge. Wraparound views over the Rhins of Galloway, a dram in hand and with no schedule to keep. It’s impossible not to love that.

There's a certain magic to Knockinaam Lodge now that the 'ber months have arrived.

The Galloway coast turns moody and misty, fires are lit in the lounge, and the pace slows right down. It's the season for long walks on our private beach, followed by exqusite dining from or perhaps a cocktail in the bar from Massimo.

Set within the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere, sustainability isn't an afterthought at Knockinaam Lodge, it's part of everything we want to achieve.

On site, our EV charging points support greener travel, and solar panels now provide over 60% of our energy. Our kitchen garden and polytunnel supply the restaurant with fresh, seasonal produce grown just steps from the kitchen door and we’ve also reached Organic Status with Soil Association Scotland.

A new chapter for us..

Introducing the wonderful Tyler King as our new head chef.

Fife-born Tyler joins us from Michelin-starred Condita in Edinburgh. He has a deep passion for Scottish produce and is genuinely excited to work with the abundance of incredible ingredients right here on our doorstep. And, of course, he's particularly looking forward to working with Diana in the Kitchen Garden.

Tyler is already settling into life at Knockinaam and bringing plenty of new ideas to the kitchen. We’re excited to see where he takes things, with Scottish produce at the heart of his cooking. We look forward to sharing what’s to come with our guests.
