Situated on National Trust Headland with outstanding sea views and large enclosed garden. This ideal family accommodation has been extensively restored and extended to a very high specification. The property is all on one level, consisting of two bedrooms, bathroom and large open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and lounge. All with magnificent views over Mynydd Cilan National Trust headland and Hell's Mouth Bay. The property sleeps 4 in two fully furnished bedrooms, one double and one twin, both within the original part of the cottage. The bathroom features a whirlpool bath with electric shower. Mynydd Cilan highlights today.

Watching the remote control gliders sweeping over Porth Neigwl by the trig point

Exploring the headland footpaths.

From the waterfall up the coastal path towards Porth Ceiriad we took the Muriau footpath. Following the footpath signs we then turned left after the farm, then right and came out at the T junction by the bungalow with green barn, which I’m sure our guests are familiar with. From Muriau sign post to Castell Bach cottage is a 20 minutes, so it’s a good short cut home.
Total steps walked 10k.

Coastal Path blustery walk from Castell Bach cottage looping round Mynydd Cilan today.

Wales Coast Path- walked towards Hells mouth, up to the trig point and along to Trwyn Carreg-y-tir. (Video)

Then along the sea cliffs and back to Castell Bach via Muriau footpath. I’ll post a more detailed post about the route.
