English Wine Week🍾

There was a time when the words “fine English wine” were usually followed by a raised eyebrow. Thankfully, those days seem to be long gone.

This English Wine Week (20 - 27th June) , we’re celebrating the winemakers who are changing perceptions one bottle at a time.

For us, there’s nothing better than enjoying great English wine in the comfort of a proper English pub. So come in, gather some friends, and help us raise a glass to the people putting English wine firmly on the map.

On Thursday 16th July, our Head Chef Rhys will be taking to the coals in the Grill Room for a special seafood supper club.

Expect seasonal seafood, dishes cooked over fire, and a relaxed evening shared around the table.

£65 per person

Arrival from 6.30pm for a welcome drink, with supper served at 7.30pm.

Mells Fun Run & Music Festival🏃‍♀️

One of our favourite days of the year in the village returns on Saturday 11th July.

Whether you're up for the full 5k, a brisk walk, or a toddle with the children or simply fancy spending the afternoon enjoying good music, everyone is welcome.

The day starts at Mells Nursery at 11am, with the route winding through the beautiful Mells Park Estate. Return to the pub for live music, from the , food from the BBQ, family activities and a raffle.

As ever, the day helps to raise funds for Mells Nursery, with all proceeds going directly back to support the nursery.

Adult tickets are £20 and include both the run and music festival entry.

We'd love to see plenty of familiar faces, and hopefully, some new ones too.

We have a few seats left for next week's Grill Feast as our Head Chef Rhys takes to the grill to serve a menu of Somerset lamb chops, mutton sausages & leg steaks (swipe for the full menu).
