Upperfields Farm Little Gaerfields sleeps up to 25 people and Tre-Vern sleeps up to 29 at Upperfields farm. Little Gaerfields is situated on our farm in south Herefordshire.

This post is really about you booking a stay at Upperfields farm.
This morning as many other days I had someone who wanted to stay next year in Tre-Vern but didn’t mind when and I was to send him dates available.
These show on the website calendar.
I looked through and was taken back at how little is available in Tre-Vern
This is what I sent him .

Weekends available in 2026 are
October 9th because of a cancellation
This was cancelled by a charity that have come for a few years !!!🥹

In 2027
January 15th

March none -0
April only the 9th
May none -0
June none -0
July only the 9th
August none -0
September 3rd and 17th
October 8th 15th 29th
That’s 9 weekends available in Tre-Vern from October to October !!!

Little Gaerfields has 27 weekends available in one year October to October.
It’s a fabulous house with the new pool about to launch and a games room - what’s not to love .
If you are looking for that super-duper big group and would like to book houses and cater for up to 54 them crack on and book.
Don’t lose your dates. Xx

Definitely look at going for a meal at Under The Nut Tree
We went last night .
Fabulous quirky venue and fantastic tasty food . Staff and service perfection.
Even their loos are fun .
Yep , definitely think , then book for the sheer wonderfully experience.

For a short time this morning it was like something out of the films birds as the sky was full of house martins . They are on their 3rd brood this year and I think they were trying to get the reluctant teenagers out of the nests. I sympathise with them 😉 The new nest I bought and Liam popped up has done well they even build an extension without planning permission 🤣 We have had more this year than ever. I am thinking of buying another nest to put on the other barns or shall I have another go at trying to make one. ? 🤔 My first attempt over a balloon was a disaster- let’s not talk about it 😏🥹. Sorry about noise of tractors. We are feeding cattle in the field. Mind you it’s greening up nicely after the dry summer . # housemartins

Does that or does that NOT look like one of those signs they put up in supermarkets to warn you about wet floors? 😂

It does, doesn’t it?! 👀

Yesterday I was in the storeroom and spotted it lying on the floor. Keri came in to collect some bedding, so I said, “Look! One of the cleaning team has bought a danger wet floor sign for us!”👌🙌💕

Keri looked at me, paused for a second and said…
“NO, Mum. It’s a step stool.” 🤨😂

She then proceeded to demonstrate its actual purpose while shrieking with laughter at me.
Honestly, I’m beginning to think that as you get older, your head, eyes and brain stop communicating properly. They’re still technically connected, but they seem to have completely lost track of each other! 😩🥹😂

I blame the storeroom. Too many cleaning products and not enough oxygen. 🤣

At this rate, I’ll be putting my glasses in the fridge and wondering why the milk has got a handle. 🤦‍♀️😂

There’s been a bit of a tidy-up in the storeroom, and what should I discover lurking at the back?

ANOTHER SQUARE BUCKET! 🪣😂

Now, Dion absolutely loves hers for kitchen cleaning, and I’m convinced Keri has secretly been jealous of it for ages.

So, in the interests of fairness — and because I’m such a thoughtful soul — I emptied the contents of Keri’s lovely basket and transferred them into the spare square bucket I’d found. 🤭

Obviously, I sent her a photo through our cleaning crew app to let her know about her exciting new acquisition.

Honestly… the ungrateful minx! 😂

I mean, come on, Keri…
It fits the trolley better ✅
It’s completely wipeable ✅
It’s grey ✅
It has a handle ✅
AND IT HAS YOUR NAME ON IT! 😂
What more could a girl possibly want? 🤨🤣

Although, thinking about it, it does make a rather lovely little basket for me to go and pick my tomatoes… 🍅😉💕👍👌
So perhaps I’ve actually improved it.

If you’ve ever stayed at Upperfields Holiday Houses, you’ll know that every bedroom door has its own blackboard. Usually, the person who booked goes around and writes everyone’s names on them.
They’ve become a great source of entertainment for us over the years — especially when we go in to clean and discover what people have written! 😂
I’ll let you have a little chuckle at some of them and make up your own minds! 🤭🤣

We’ve had a wedding group staying with us this week, with family travelling over from both the UK and Canada to join a lovely young couple in wedded bliss. 💕💍

Today, two of the uncles were left behind while the rest of the family headed off to Worcester. They asked if I could find them a pub to visit this afternoon and arrange a cab for them.
I said, “Forget the cab — I’ll take you!” 😂
So off we went to Ye Old Ferrie at Symonds Yat. They absolutely loved sitting by the river, watching all the activity on the water, and chatting away to the locals.
I left my number with the lovely young lady behind the bar and told her to give me a call when they were ready to be picked up.
The best part for me was the journey there and back. It gave me a chance to sit and chat with them, hear about their fascinating lives and get to know them a little.
And honestly, this is what makes my day-to-day life so special — meeting our guests, hearing their stories and having a good old chat. ❤️

You just never quite know who is going to walk through the doors of Upperfields! 👌🙌👍

Goodrich castle is not far from us. A good place to stop off on the day of arrival, then carry on to us for your arrival.
I was told that this battle moved the Welsh border back towards wales. That’s how come our village is called Llangarron as a lot of the villages around us use Llan.
We were once in wales but now England. .
I wonder if it’s this battle or another one ? 🤔
