🌞Now the temperature has cooled a little, this weekend is the perfect time to pull on those walking boots.

🥾Ross-on-Wye is an excellent base for circular walks, with routes ranging from easy riverside strolls to longer countryside walks. Popular options include:

👣Ross-on-Wye to Penyard Park — a longer countryside circuit through woodland and open farmland, with broad views towards the Forest of Dean.

👣Bridstow & the River Wye — a quieter rural circuit through lanes and fields around the villages west of Ross.

👣River Wye & Wilton Castle — an easy scenic circuit taking in the riverside, Wilton Bridge and the ruins of Wilton Castle.

👣The Prospect & Wye Valley — a shorter walk from the town centre with viewpoints over the River Wye and surrounding countryside.

🎷🎺🎼Next week's band at the Ross-on-Wye Bandsand is.... Nothin' but Dust!
Blending country rock with the deep roots of Appalachian music and Irish folk, Nothin' But Dust delivers original tracks and reimagined covers, shaped by Liam's guitar work, Abi's folksy vocals, and they're joined by a drummer today too.

WOW! Banana tree update! The tree has loved the heatwave (unlike some of us!😅🥵) and have grown really big! They will become food for butterflies as they love fruit to sit and feed on! 🍌🦋
