Reminder to guests who visit beautiful Perranporth beach for long dog walks..

Just a reminder that dogs need to be kept on short leads during July and August on Perranporth beach between the hours of 10 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. See the map below for details of the designated area where the Dog Control Order (DCO) restrictions apply. Dog owners must also pick up after their dogs and not allow any dog fouling on the beach. Our Beach Wardens are now on duty on the beach and will be happy to provide advice and answer any queries.

A great excuse to visit Trevaunance Cove and enjoy the beach and refreshments.

🏆 ALFIE’S REVENGE IS 3RD BEST IN THE UK! 🏆

We are over the moon! 🥳 Our very own Alfie’s Revenge has just taken home the Bronze medal overall (and Gold in the Barley Wines & Strong Ales category) at the prestigious CAMRA Champion B**r of Britain 2026 competition in Cambridge! 🍺✨

This is a special win for us. First brewed back in 2009 by our late Head Brewer, Pete Martin, his recipe is lovingly kept alive today by our Head Brewer, Tim Lawrence. Winning this shows that Pete’s legacy and our drive for quality b**r is stronger than ever. ❤️

For those who know the , yes—it’s named after Alfie, the stuffed squirrel who went missing in 2009 and still gets blamed for everything that goes wrong! 🐿️😉

This caps off an amazing award season for us, including 2 Golds at the Taste of the West Awards and 4 Silvers at SIBA Tucker’s Maltings. 🥇🥈

Want to try the 3rd best b**r in Britain? Grab a bottle at our brewery shop or order online (link in bio)! 🛒📦

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our guests and friends.

For those of you interested in the mining history and heritage of mining in St.Agnes, here are some maps and links which may be of interest to you.

Opposite the cottage, you can see the engine house of Gooninnis Mines. The extent of mining in and around the village always amazes me.
