Say hello to Vicky, who works in Reception at The Lodge here at Princeā€™s.

Vicky plays a key role in our guest experience, from being your point of contact before arrival to welcoming you at check-in and wishing you a safe journey on departure. Having been part of the Princeā€™s team for almost four years, she has become a familiar and friendly face to many of our guests.

With the Curtis Cup about to commence in LA at Bel-Air Country Club, we reflect on the occasion when Princeā€™s hosted the event in 1956.

That year, Princeā€™s welcomed one of the most prestigious events in amateur golf, featuring elite competition between Great Britain & Ireland and the USA. GB&I were victorious on that occasion, with Princeā€™s member, and later honorary member, the late Angela Bonallack (nĆ©e Ward), making her Curtis Cup debut and securing a crucial singles victory.

One of Englandā€™s most exceptional amateur golfers, Angelaā€™s performance formed part of a memorable week for the home side. As the competition returns this June in the USA, we reflect on our linksā€™ place in its history.
