The Rose Garden on South Cliff is a lovely place to slow down for a while, the roses are not in bloom yet but it has pbeautifully kept gardens and some fantastic coastal views.

The Clock Tower on the Esplanade is one of the town’s most recognisable sights, and just behind it sits the beautiful Red Court Hotel, which many people will recognise from the TV series The Royal. 📺

It’s a lovely spot for a stroll, with fantastic views across South Bay and plenty of Scarborough history all around you.

The Central Tramway has been carrying people between South Bay and the town since 1881, saving a very steep walk and adding a bit of fun to the day. 😅

🚋❤️ One of the things we love about Scarborough is that you can still enjoy little experiences that have been part of the town for generations.

This afternoon we took a ride on the Spa Cliff Lift, travelling between the Esplanade and South Bay while taking in some fantastic views across the beach and harbour. 🌊

It’s a short journey, but a fun one, and a great way to save your legs on the climb back up! 😅

🐦🌊 A successful morning’s fishing by the looks of it!

Jim spotted these cormorants on North Bay earlier today, perched on the rocks and drying their wings in the breeze after heading out for breakfast. 😊

Unlike many seabirds, cormorants don’t have fully waterproof feathers, so you’ll often see them standing with their wings spread out after a dive. It’s quite a sight when there’s a whole group of them together!

Just another little reminder that there’s always something interesting to spot along the Yorkshire Coast. ❤️

🚤 A reminder of just how important our lifeboat crews are ❤️

We were down on South Bay today and it looked like a boat was being assisted back safely. Thankfully, everything appeared to be under control, but it was another reminder that things can change very quickly at sea.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such dedicated RNLI volunteers looking after our coastline, whatever the weather and whatever the situation. 👏

A huge thank you to the crew for everything they do to keep people safe. 🚤💙

If you’ve not been into Doorstep Adventures on North Bay yet, it’s well worth a browse! 😊

It’s one of those shops where you pop in for “just a quick look” and suddenly find yourself discovering all sorts of lovely things 😄

From gifts and jewelry to seaside-inspired treasures, there’s always something that catches your eye… and judging by today’s visit, Sarah could quite happily have stayed in there for an hour or two! 🤣❤️

✅ Constantly scanning the sea for dolphins 🐬👀

We absolutely love a trip on the Hispaniola! It’s one of the most fun ways to see Scarborough from a different angle, and if you’re lucky, you might just sea a dolphin or two. 😁
