🎇 Whitby Abbey is lighting up for Halloween! 🎃

If you’re looking for somewhere to visit before the end of the season, Whitby is always a lovely choice, especially at this time of year!

From today, Friday 23rd October, until Halloween, the famous Abbey ruins will be lit up in spectacular colours as the annual Illuminated Abbey event returns.

There’ll be plenty of spooky fun for the little ones too, with Halloween activities taking place throughout the event. 👻

A lovely excuse for an autumn trip to the coast while you’re staying with us at Jasmine Park! 🍂

A beautiful rainbow greeted me when I arrived at work this morning 🌈

Now the sun’s out, there’s blue sky over the park and a bit of a nip in the air. Such a lovely autumn morning! 🍂

Definitely a day for getting outside and enjoying a walk, whether it’s across the Moors, through the woods or along the coast.

I love this time of year, seeing all the colours changing.

📅 THINKING AHEAD TO 2027?

It might only be October, but our 2027 touring and camping bookings are already open – and some of you have been very organised and booked your holidays already!

If you have favourite dates, a particular pitch you like to return to, or you’re planning around school holidays and bank holiday weekends, now is a good time to get them in the diary.

Booking directly with us is currently the only way to secure your preferred dates and pitch for 2027.

🚧 IMPORTANT ACCESS INFORMATION – BARKER’S LANE CLOSURE

If you’re visiting Jasmine Park in October, please be aware that Barker’s Lane is due to be closed from Monday 5th October until Friday 23rd October while Yorkshire Water carries out water mains replacement works.

Jasmine Park remains open and accessible throughout the works.

🚗 During the closure, please use Middle Lane to access the park, as shown on the map attached.

If you’re using sat nav, please bear in mind that it may still try to direct you via Barker’s Lane, so we recommend checking your route before you travel.

📞 If you have any problems finding us on your journey, please give us a call and we’ll be happy to help.

The dates provided are currently provisional, so we’ll post an update if we’re notified of any changes.

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway Annual Steam Gala takes place from 24–27 September, with four days celebrating the sights and sounds of heritage steam.

Services and activities will take place across Pickering, Goathland, Whitby, Levisham and Grosmont—giving steam enthusiasts plenty to enjoy.
