Meet the faces behind The Lodge 👋🏻

You see plenty of the cabin here, so here’s a little introduction to the team looking after it.

Laura - Owner-Operator
That’s me. I run everything: bookings, guest messages, cleaning, changeovers, pricing, the website, photography, social media and interiors.

From the reel that first caught your eye to the freshly made bed when you arrive, there’s a good chance I’ve had something to do with it.

Jonny - Head of Maintenance
Jonny takes care of the repairs and practical jobs that keep The Lodge working as it should, alongside running his own plumbing and heating business. He’s also the person I find when I’ve had another idea that needs building.

Paddy - Meet & Greet
Always happy to say hello, very familiar with the local walks, and comfortably the most popular member of the team. 🐾

Some details you’ll notice straight away. Others deserve a closer look: shelves made from our own trees, hand-thrown mugs, locally roasted coffee and a map for deciding where tomorrow’s adventure begins.

Coffee and brunch at Brewed, a wild sauna with Whitby Wellbeing and a sandwich from Mary’s in Sandsend. A few good reasons to venture beyond the cabin this autumn.

We’ve put together seven of our favourite things to do nearby. Cycle the Cinder Track, spend an afternoon in Robin Hood’s Bay followed by dinner at Fylingdales Inn, or find the waterfall at Hayburn Wyke before lunch at the pub. There’s always another stretch of the Cleveland Way to explore, too.

All within a 30-minute drive of The Lodge.
