Thank you for the 2026 season.

To everyone who stayed with us this year, walked out to the hill lochs, filled in the record books and sat late in the bar comparing notes: thank you.

It has been quite a year. Being named Best Fishing Provider at the Scottish Country Sports Tourism Awards is something we are immensely proud of, and it belongs as much to our guests and our Boardmasters as it does to us.

The 2026 pages now take their place in record books that go back to 1912. We very much look forward to welcoming you back in 2027.

This 5lb salmon was the culmination of a single drift that included several brown trout, a 1 1/2lb sea trout and two arctic char a feat that has become known as a McStack. Well done chaps, what a fantastic way to close out the season!

300 lochs. 20,000 acres. 47 beats. One record book.

There is nowhere quite like fishing at Scourie, and this month it was named Best Fishing Provider in Scotland. 🏆

Every beat has its own page in the book, filled in by hand, going back years. Brown trout, sea trout, salmon, char, the date, the weight and the angler's name. It is how it has always been done here, and it is part of what makes Scourie, Scourie.

Fishing is included for stays of three nights or more. The season is with us now.

We are honoured and delighted to share some wonderful news.

Scourie Hotel has been named Best Fishing Provider at the Scottish Country Sports Tourism Awards 2026, announced at the Scottish Game Fair, Scone Palace, earlier this month.

For a small hotel in a remote corner of north west Sutherland, on water that anglers have returned to for generations, this one means a great deal. It is recognition of the fishing we are lucky enough to look after, more than 300 hill lochs and lochans across some 20,000 acres, and of the ghillies, staff and guests who make Scourie what it is.

Thank you to Country Sport Scotland and the BASC, and congratulations to all the finalists. The strength of the field says everything about the world class fishing we have here in Scotland.
