A lot of thought, planning and decision-making went into creating No.2 The Folly. Every little detail was considered, reconsidered… and occasionally reconsidered again! 🙈🩷

We couldn’t have done it without the wonderful, skilled local tradespeople in Sedbergh who helped bring our vision to life.

And now, reading the lovely feedback from our guests, we’re beginning to think we might just have got some of the decisions right. 🩷

A little love for No.2 The Folly 🩷

When we first opened the doors to our little cottage in Sedbergh, we hoped that others would love it as much as we do.

To everyone who has chosen to spend their precious time away with us, thank you. An extra special thank you to those very first guests who took a chance on us, when we didn’t have a single review to our name! 🥹

One of the things I love most about hosting is making people feel welcome, comfortable and looked after. It’s the little touches, the attention to detail and knowing that someone has had a really special stay that make it so rewarding. 🩷

Reading these wonderful reviews (feel free to check them out yourself on Airbnb) means such a lot. We never take it for granted that you’ve chosen our cottage for your holidays, anniversaries, celebrations or simply a little time to escape from everyday life.

Welcome to Sedbergh, where independent shops, friendly faces and beautiful little streets make it somewhere very special.

From gorgeous florists and traditional butchers to cosy cafés, welcoming pubs and fabulous restaurants, there’s so much to love about this charming little town.

Whether it’s a wander around the shops, coffee and cake, a leisurely lunch or a cosy evening by the fire at one of our favourite pubs, Sedbergh has a little bit of everything…not to mention the wonderful Howgill Fells! ⛰️

Four years ago, we fell in love with a little stone cottage tucked away in the heart of Sedbergh. 💗

We could see what it might become, even if we didn’t quite appreciate how much work lay ahead!

After a complete renovation, countless decisions and a lot of love and attention to detail, No.2 The Folly became everything we’d hoped for.

This little treasure in the Yorkshire Dales is now somewhere we get to share with others.

We hope you love it as much as we do. 💗
