A beautiful inn in the Yorkshire Dales with ten contemporary and luxurious bedrooms. We offer relaxed dining in the comfortable restaurant as well as a cosy bar with local ales and interesting wines. Fully refurbished and reopened under a new team in autumn 2021. The Plough is perfectly positioned for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland; walkers, cyclists, rock climbers, potholers, golfers and fishermen are all welcome. The inn is within driving distance of Settle, Clitheroe and Skipton for those wanting to visit a typical market town. Our food is seasonal and made with locally sourced ingredients. They'll be delighted to settle down in front of a roaring fire after a long walk in the Dales. The Plough also caters for weddings, parties and celebrations in our conservatory which overlooks the lawns and the valley beyond.

The Dales are always beautiful, but especially so at this time of year. The changing colours, quieter footpaths, crisp autumn mornings and stunning views around every corner.

And after a morning exploring, what could be better than finding yourself in a welcoming country pub, with a good lunch, a glass of something lovely and nowhere in particular to rush off to?

🎄 The Christmas get-together. Have you got yours in the diary yet?

The annual work Christmas meal, a long-overdue catch-up with friends, a family gathering or a festive dinner for two… whatever your plans, we'd love you to celebrate at The Plough this year.

Our kitchen team has created a fabulous festive menu, with plenty of choice, from traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings to our much-loved steak & guinness Pie, seafood thermidor and some delicious Christmas desserts.

Still time to enjoy our Farmers Market saver menu!

With Christmas just around the corner, there are only a few weeks left to enjoy our popular Farmers Market saver menu before we switch to festive dining on 25 November.

If you've been meaning to come and try it, now's the time!

Enjoy 2 courses for £20 or 3 courses for £25, with a delicious choice of starters, mains and desserts from our kitchen team.

Available Wednesday to Saturday from 12-2.30pm and 5-6.30pm.

And then it's time for Christmas! Our festive menu is served from 25 November, and bookings are already being taken for Christmas lunches, evenings out with friends, family get-togethers and work celebrations.

What’s on this week at The Plough?

🌿 Farmers Market saver menu: £20 for 2 courses or £25 for 3, Wednesday to Saturday from 12–2.30pm and 5–6.30pm.

🥩 Steak Night on Wednesday: £30 for two Yorkshire flat iron steaks with proper chips, pepper sauce and garnish.

🐟 Fish Friday: £30 for two haddock and chips with peas and homemade tartare sauce, OR two prime fish dishes of the day for £40.

🍖 Sunday lunch: A choice of delicious dishes including traditional roasts with all the trimmings.

🎄 And Christmas bookings are now open! Our festive menu is available from 25 November, perfect for family get-togethers, Christmas parties and meals with friends or colleagues. We’re also taking bookings for Christmas Day.
