Sunday lunch returns to The Crown this weekend. 🍽️

This week it’s roast beef 🥩with all the trimmings. We’ll be serving every Sunday from now on, so whether you’re joining us after a walk or just fancying a proper Sunday roast, come and find us.

Walk-ins welcome for smaller groups; just turn up. For larger parties, drop us a message and we’ll get you booked in.

A little update on table bookings. 🥾
Anyone who’s done the Three Peaks knows that estimating when you’ll be back is mostly guesswork. So from now on, we’re keeping things flexible... no advance table bookings for smaller groups; just turn up when you’re ready, and we’ll get you fed.

No rushing, no worrying about a booking you made three hours ago. Just come in when you come in.

Larger groups, drop us a message and we’ll make sure we’ve got space for you.

Half-term ideas if you're heading to the Dales in the next few weeks 🥾
We've put together a few suggestions, from full days out on the fells to something a bit more relaxed...
1. Take on all Three Peaks in a day if you're feeling brave
2. Just Pen-y-ghent… a brilliant half-day walk right from our door
3. Ingleborough… a classic with great views from the top
4. Whernside from Ribblehead… the viaduct alone is worth it
5. Malham Cove… a bit easier but absolutely stunning
6. Ingleton Waterfalls Trail… great for all ages
7. Red squirrels at Snaizeholme near Hawes… a real favourite
8. Train to Ribblehead and walk back to Horton… a great trip
9. Guided history walk around Settle… you’ll be amazed!
10. A long lunch at The Crown, a seat by the fire, and absolutely nowhere to be 🔥

😎 The weather is set to be nice this weekend. Perfect for a few days of walking in the Yorkshire Dales. And... we've still got a couple of rooms available, so why not make a weekend of it, enjoy some fresh air, good food, and a few days away from it all? 🥾

🍂 Autumn is a lovely time to be out in the Dales. If you fancy something a bit different from the peaks, Ingleton Waterfalls Trail and the Ribble Way are looking brilliant right now, with the autumn colours coming through.

The forecast this weekend is actually pretty decent, and we’ve got a few rooms free if you fancy a last-minute getaway. Enjoy the outdoors, then come back and warm up by the fire with a good meal.

Over the past year, we've met some wonderful people: locals, visitors, and people just dropping in on their longer journey for some food and a place to get some rest... Montane Spine Race 😉 We're really looking forward to getting to know many more of you over this next year at The Crown Hotel.

One year ago today we walked through that door as the new owners of The Crown. 🥳

What a year it's been.

To everyone who's visited, stayed, eaten, popped in for a pint, cheered on a fell race, stumbled in off Pen-y-ghent, or simply made us feel welcome in this brilliant community… thank you. Genuinely. It means more than you know.

To our locals who've become regulars, and our regulars who've become friends… you know who you are. 🙏

We've loved every (mostly) mad minute of it and we can't wait to see what year two brings.

Over the next few days we'll be sharing some of our favourite moments and highlights from the past twelve months. Watch this space. 📸
