Attractions close by including Cannon Hall Farm 10 minutes drive away. Lovely local walks or a short drive to the Peaks This is a great rural location for those seeking places to walk or ride bikes: you can stroll directly from the farm into woodlands and green countryside, or set out to see places like Pot House Hamlet and the historic site of the Huskar Pit disaster. The Silkstone Waggonway is close by for cyclists and walkers, and more intrepid bike riders might like to note that this farm is just off the Trans Pennine Trail (roughly at its halfway point, in fact). And of course, the Peak District National Park is but a few miles away…

If that all sounds a bit too energetic, you can instead tour the area by train from the local station (10 minutes’ walk away and part of the scenic Pen*stone line) or hail a bus from the village. All sorts of attractions are close by too, including farm parks, stately homes and the national coal mining museum. Being rural doesn’t mean being cut off around here: a walk of five minutes or so will get you up to the local village for two pubs, a steak house and a small supermarket (perhaps to pick up supplies for an evening by the barbecue or campfire back at the farm?)

Campfires will no longer be allowed until the wild fire risk reduces, we have had field fires locally as well as a the moorland fires burning, we don't want to risk adding to the problem.

Don’t leave it too late to buy your bonfire tickets, we’ve already sold over half the capacity.

We have the lovely team from Su***de Sucks joining us selling hot drinks and flashing gadgets, to raise funds for their charity.

Fantastic hot food will be available from Pea Pods Catering

Silkstone Common Miners Welfare FC Under 8s will be serving a selection of alcoholic beverages from the bar, to raise funds for their junior teams.

After the bonfire and fireworks display, live entertainment will be provided by the amazing One Man Down

In addition there will be a DJ and a breathtaking fire juggling display.
