“Cottage was immaculate, with top quality furnishings and fittings. Spotlessly clean and welcoming. Huge basket of goodies too! We really appreciate being able to bring our dogs and there was lots of great walking from the cottage. Locals very friendly, human and canine. We’ll definitely be back.”

The sea’s a little rougher now, the breeze a little cooler, which is exactly when a coastal stay comes into its own.

Belvedere Terrace sits in South Cliff, a quiet corner of Scarborough with the Gardens on the doorstep and the Esplanade and South Bay a short walk away.

A two-bedroom house for four, with a patio to sit out on when the weather plays along, and somewhere warm to come back to when it doesn’t.

(Oh, and parking is sorted, which is no small thing in Scarborough).

Scarborough in autumn: fewer crowds, bigger skies, and chips that taste even better in a coat.
