💛💜 Our Chosen Charity for 2026 is... 💜💛
At The Camelia Hotel, being a small, family-run business means so much more to us than simply providing a place to stay.
We believe in supporting our local community wherever we can and we’re incredibly proud of our chosen charity this year which is Big Purple Pants! 🤝
Big Purple Pants is a local charity supporting people living with secondary breast cancer across Southend, Essex and the surrounding areas.
They provide a welcoming, understanding community where people can connect with others going through similar experiences, share support, make friendships and feel less alone during what can be an incredibly difficult journey 💜
We were absolutely delighted to donate an all-inclusive stay at The Camelia as a prize for their recent Gala For Good fundraising event, alongside other wonderful contributions 🤩
The event raised a whopping £5,500 for Big Purple Pants and Havens Hospices - two charities doing such important work to support people and families in our local community! 👏🥳
We’re so grateful to have played a small part in this fab achievement, and we’re incredibly proud of everyone involved in making the event such a success.
The certificates and letter of appreciation we’ve received mean a HUGE deal to our team and are a lovely reminder of what can be achieved when local businesses and communities come together for a good cause! 🥹💛
