🇬🇧🎶 1940s DAY AT THE RIVERSIDE! 🎶🇬🇧

The countdown is on, and we can’t wait to welcome you for what promises to be a fantastic day of music, dancing, classic vehicles, and community spirit!

🕚 From 11am until 4pm, we’ll be stepping back in time with DJ ‘It’s The Camerman’, taking us on a musical journey through the ages with all the tunes to get your feet tapping and your spirits soaring.

💃 Dancing is absolutely encouraged, so don’t be shy! Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just fancy a little twirl, we’d love to see the dance floor busy throughout the day.

👒 Dust off your finest 1940s outfits too! Dressing up isn’t essential, but it’s certainly encouraged and helps make the day even more special.

🚗🏍️ Got a classic car or bike? Bring it along! We’d love to see them. We simply ask that all classic vehicles are parked in the car park up by the river so everyone can admire them safely.

🎸 Then from 5pm, we’re delighted to welcome The Rocking Old Gits for an hour of fantastic live music to round off the day in style.

Whether you’re joining us for an hour or staying all day, we’d love to see as many of you as possible. Bring your friends, bring your family, and let’s make some wonderful memories together.

📢 A Quick Update Regarding This Morning’s Car Boot Sale 📢

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, no sellers arrived this morning, which meant that sadly the car boot sale could not go ahead.

Of course, we’re disappointed. We know a number of people made the journey expecting to browse the stalls, and we’d like to thank those members of the public who came along and were incredibly understanding despite there being no stalls to visit.

That said, we’re not going to let this knock us back. Every event teaches us something, and after speaking with those who attended this morning, we’ve already gathered some valuable feedback and ideas that we’ll be looking at before trying again in the future.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the idea, shared the event, and turned up this morning. Community events only succeed when we work together, and we’re determined to give it another go with a few tweaks along the way.

If you have any feedback, suggestions, or ideas that could help make a future car boot sale a success, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d genuinely love to hear from you.

The countdown is on and we’re giving our very first Southrey Car Boot Sale one final push before the big day tomorrow!

Whether you’re looking to clear out some clutter, make a few extra pounds, or simply fancy a morning bargain hunt, we’d love to see you there.

Honestly, that is absolutely incredible and we cannot thank you all enough for the continued support, laughter, generosity and commitment shown week after week! ❤️

Every single pound raised this year is being donated to Tommy’s Club 🇬🇧 — a fantastic charity helping ex-serving personnel adjust to day-to-day life after leaving the forces. A cause incredibly close to our hearts here at The Riverside.
