🍂 Hello November, from Staithes… 🌊

Autumn colours creeping over old cottages, boats resting in the beck and little corners full of character. Even under grey skies, there’s so much to fall in love with here.

This is the season for wrapping up, wandering without a hurry and stopping somewhere warm for a cuppa or a pub lunch before heading back to your own cosy cottage by the sea. 💙☕

Fancy a little escape before the Christmas rush? We have November and December availability at Alum Cottage — whether you’re after a few peaceful days away or a winter break with someone special. Your four-legged companion is welcome too. 🐾

The cutest little visitor in Staithes harbour last night 🦭🌙

This seal pup had found himself a spot to rest beneath the lights of the Cod & Lobster. While everyone else was out enjoying their Friday night, he was quite happy having an early night! 💤💙

Staithes is so wonderfully rich with wildlife. Have you ever spotted a seal in the harbour?
