WOMENS GROUP

A great first morning with our ladies who have started a 6 week wire art project with the fantastic Loretto from jewellery.

Today the ladies practised bending wire and ended up with a beautiful ring and this amazing necklace each.

💙 Men’s Mental Health Week 💙
📅 15th June – 21st June

This week, we’re encouraging men across our community to prioritise their mental health and wellbeing.

Life can be challenging, and sometimes the strongest thing you can do is talk about how you’re feeling. Whether it’s reaching out to a friend, family member, colleague, or support service, remember that you don’t have to face things alone.

✅ Talk openly
✅ Stay active
✅ Connect with others
✅ Look after yourself
✅ Support someone who may be struggling

At Springhill Park Area Residents and Youth Association, we believe that every conversation matters. Together, we can help break the stigma surrounding mental health and create a stronger, more supportive community for everyone.

💬 It’s okay to talk.
💬 It’s okay to ask for help.

MENS GROUP

This week at the Men’s Allotment Programme in Springhill Park, we have seen fantastic progress from the group. The men have successfully grown lettuce from seed and were able to take home the produce they have nurtured themselves.

The photos show not only the gardening achievements but also the healthy meals provided throughout the programme, helping to promote health, well-being, and positive lifestyle choices. From planting the first seeds to harvesting and enjoying healthy food, the journey has been a great success.

It has been wonderful to see the confidence, skills, and wellbeing of the participants grow alongside their crops. The proof is in the pudding – the results speak for themselves, and we are proud of what the group has achieved together.

🎃👻 Halloween Night Planning 👻🎃

We’re already starting to plan for Halloween night in the community, and we’d love to hear your ideas!

What would you like to see happening this Halloween? Whether it’s live music, a disco, fancy dress competitions, family entertainment, haunted attractions, food vendors, fireworks, or something completely different, let us know in the comments.

Get your suggestions in now while it’s still early, and we’ll do our best to take your ideas on board when booking entertainment and activities.

One thing we want you to remind of this year; we don’t have a centre in Springhill Park to run it from so all activities will be outside.

We want to make it a great night for everyone, so tell us what you’d like to see! 🎃🕸️🦇
