๐๐ง ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐๐๐ฆ๐ ๐๐จ๐๐ ๐:
As we head into autumn and winter, we wanted to share some changes to the way weโll be operating at Kilcamb over the coming months.
Like many hospitality businesses, weโve faced significant increases in the cost of operating, alongside changes in booking patterns and the way people are choosing to travel. Running a traditional hotel, particularly through the quieter months, has become increasingly challenging.
Rather than simply carrying on in the same way, weโve decided to try something different.
For autumn and winter, Kilcamb will move to a smaller, more personal, owner-run model, with the two of us taking a much more hands-on role in welcoming and looking after our guests. Weโll continue to offer bed and breakfast, with dining available for those staying with us.
From 1st October, our dining will be exclusively for resident guests, and we will no longer be taking outside dining reservations.
We want to reassure anyone with an existing Kilcamb gift voucher or table booking. During September and October, voucher holders will still be able to book lunch or afternoon tea with us, and we will of course honour those vouchers during this transition. Existing dining reservations will also be honoured as booked.
This is a new way of working for us and, for now, itโs how we plan to operate through the autumn and winter. Weโll see how it works, listen to feedback and review our plans again in the New Year.
The hospitality industry has changed considerably, and we need to adapt with it if Kilcamb is to remain sustainable for the future. We hope this approach allows us to continue doing what matters most: welcoming people to this beautiful part of the West Highlands and giving our guests a warm, personal Kilcamb experience.
Thank you to everyone who continues to stay with us and support Kilcamb Lodge.
