A former timber merchant's property built in Victorian times, 1, Woodchester Lodge occupies a peaceful village setting in the heart of the Cotswolds. The house is constructed of mellow Cotswold stone, surrounded by a lovely garden where guests are welcome to relax - perhaps with a cup of tea and home made cake. The house is brimming with original features, including high ceilings, bay windows, ca

rved woodwork, sailed glass and cast iron fireplaces. The bedrooms are large, light and airy, furnished in traditional style and decorated to a high standard. All have views over the gardens and towards the hills beyond, and are equipped with TV, alarm clock, hairdryer and tea tray with home made cookies. There is a large guest living/dining room overlooking the garden, where a log fire blazes in colder months, and breakfast, evening meals and afternoon tea with home made cakes are served. All meals are prepared by a qualified chef, with many of the ingredients harvested from the garden, along with eggs supplied by the resident chickens.
