Situated in the picturesque village of Upper Cwmtwrch, at the foot of the Blackmountains, just 15 minutes drive from Swansea and the M4 motorway. We offer a warm and friendly welcome, home cooked food prepared using local produce, all served with a smile. Evening meals are available 7 days a week including our chefs specials board. Our Sunday lunch carvery is highly recommended, but it is wise to

book as we get very busy. The pub has a very cosy atmosphere all year round but especially in the winter with our log fire burning away. At the rear of the pub we have a large beer garden overlooking the river Twrch. Thanks for visiting

The New Tredegar Arms, Cwmtwrch, is looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our friendly kitchen team!

This is a great opportunity to become part of a busy local pub where teamwork and great food are at the heart of what we do. ❤️

🧽 Your duties will include:

• Washing and cleaning pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Operating the dishwasher and ensuring everything is cleaned and stored correctly
• Keeping the kitchen, preparation and storage areas clean and tidy
• Cleaning floors, surfaces and kitchen equipment
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste responsibly
• Assisting with basic food preparation when required
• Helping with deliveries and putting stock away
• Supporting our chefs and kitchen team wherever needed
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
• Following health & safety procedures and reporting any issues
• Helping to keep the kitchen running smoothly during busy services

👥 We’re looking for someone who is:
✔️ Reliable and punctual
✔️ Hardworking and organised
✔️ A good team player
✔️ Able to work in a busy kitchen environment

Due to the high demand for table bookings, we’ve made a small change to help us keep everything organised and, most importantly, avoid double bookings.

We’re getting closer, and we couldn’t resist giving you a little glimpse inside! 🥂🔥

Take a peek at our bar area and front patio — warm wood, cozy lighting, beautiful details, and plenty of inviting spaces to sit back, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere.
