It was national Restart A Heart Day yesterday, a day which raises awareness of the symptoms of cardiac arrest, encourages people to learn CPR and reminds people to keep an eye out for where their nearest defibrillator is.

As explained by the British Heart Foundation: "The chances of surviving a cardiac arrest are significantly increased if a defibrillator is used. For every minute without CPR and defibrillation, the chance of survival reduces by up to 10%."

(You can learn CPR in just 15 minutes here: https://www.bhf.org.uk/how-you-can-help/how-to-save-a-life/how-to-do-cpr/learn-cpr-in-15-minutes)

In case you didn't know, we have a defibrillator at hotel Reception and our reception desk is manned 24-hours a day. We also have a full First Aid Kit, Burns Kit, Eyewash Kit and Biohazard Kit at Reception, and there's always first aid trained staff in the hotel.

While we hope these facilities are never required, it's so important to have them readily accessible to help ensure the safety of our guests, visitors, team members and the community. โค๏ธ

Yesterday we popped down to see our friends at nearby business Dawsons Property in Swansea Marina who were raising awareness of and raising funds for a defibrillator in the community. Da Iawn, Team Dawsons!

Welcome back, Swansea Life magazine! ๐Ÿ‘‹

After a long hiatus, itโ€™s wonderful to see this fantastic local magazine rise from the ashes! The new issue (out today!) is a real celebration of Swansea, its amazing people and its exciting and vibrant events!

Weโ€™d like to say Well Done to JR Events & Catering for creating such a superb magazine!๐Ÿ˜

Plus, weโ€™re so proud that one of our beautiful weddings has been featured! Weโ€™re wishing Hannah and Dylan a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness together!โค๏ธ

Swansea Life is a free magazine and can be picked up in venues and businesses across Swansea - weโ€™ve got lots of copies at Reception!

Everyone is welcome to pop in and pick one up! Why not curl up in the bar with a glass of w**e or a hot chocolate and have a read?โ˜•๏ธ

Today is National Bring Your Teddy To Work Day!๐Ÿงธ

Did you know we have our very own Morgan The Bear? He's having a lovely day today helping guests Check-In and Check-Out at Reception, programming key cards, overseeing breakfast meetings and making coffees in the bar - and he's even helped whisk the butter for today's Cake of The Day! ๐Ÿ˜œ

If you'd like your own Morgan The Bear, you can take him home for just ยฃ10.โœจ
