🚧 Barn update – Phase 2! 🏡

Two new barns, lots of weekend graft, a few unexpected twists and turns… and plenty still to do! 🛠️

A huge thank you to Paul and Sue for sharing their beautiful photos from their recent short break at Nanna’s Bakehouse, with Roxy and Rosie along for the adventure! 🐶🐾🐶

One of their days took them from Pitton Cross Farm to Mewslade Bay, along the stunning coastal path to Rhossili, with spectacular views of Worm’s Head, before continuing on to Llangennith and back again.

Along the way, they captured beautiful Rhossili Beach, the iconic white Old Rectory (the National Trust holiday cottage featured in the BBC drama The Guest) and the shipwreck Helvetia 📸🌊

While in Rhossili, they stopped at the Worm’s Head Hotel to enjoy those incredible coastal views, before heading on to Llangennith for a well-earned stop at the King’s Head — a wonderful dog-friendly pub for a pint or a bite to eat! 🍻🐶

And this was just one of their days here! We’ve still got lots more lovely photos to share and a few more of their Gower adventures to show you… so watch this space! 👌💛

🐾 Meet Paul, Sue, Roxy & Rosie! 🍂🤎

They recently enjoyed a 3-day escape to Nanna’s Bakehouse and have kindly shared some lovely photos of their stay with us!

Over the next couple of days, we’ll be sharing their autumn adventure in 3 little reels 🐶🐶

We’re often asked if we close for winter… the answer is no! 🤩 We’re open 12 months a year, and autumn and winter can be some of the best times to visit 🍁

Cosy stays, quieter beaches, beautiful walks and plenty of fresh air for the dogs. What’s not to love? 🤎

🐾 A little story about our Finley… 🤎

These days, we spend a lot of time talking about barns and beagles, and love sharing it all with our guests!

Many of you know our love for Many Tears Animal Rescue, and it always makes us smile when guests tell us they have Many Tears dogs of their own too! 🤎

Supporting rescue is something close to our hearts, not just at home but as a business too. We make a monthly donation to Many Tears and are also proud Bronze Partners with Hope Rescue. It’s our little way of giving something back to the organisations doing such important work for dogs who need a second chance 🐾

But with Finley’s Gotcha Day coming up, we thought we’d share a little story about how our boy found his way into our hearts.

Yes, Finley was facing being shot if the rescue couldn’t take him in … And yes 🙋‍♀️ beagle lovers over here who couldn’t resist the chance to give this boy a brighter future.

So off we went, with our three other beagles in tow, to meet the boy whose original rescue post pulled at our heartstrings 🥹💛

And the rest, as they say, is history … 🤎🐾

Loved this guest review left in our Tales from the Barn guestbook … I also got to meet Amber during her stay with us and gave her plenty of hugs too ! 🤎🐾🐶

Having shared our lives with beagles of all ages, from those who reached 16 to those taken far too soon, we know just how precious every year is.

🌊 Taking an older dog to the beach is so special… Soaking up the salty air, brushing off their sandy paws, watching the waves with extra cuddles and spending every precious moment together.

Because their years may be short, but the memories last a lifetime 🤎🐾🤎
