🍁 AUTUMN ON GOWER 🍂

We’ve just had an email from a family with young children asking what there is to do during a short autumn break with us…

So we thought we’d share a few ideas!

Within around 20 minutes of the farm:

🎃 Gower Fresh Christmas Trees – seasonal pumpkin and Halloween fun

🐑 Will’s Farm – animals, farm adventures and seasonal events

🌾 Gower Heritage Centre – explore the mill, grounds and half-term Halloween activities

For a little more adventure:

🏹 Perriswood Archery & Falconry – just 15 minutes away

🏄‍♀️ Bae Surf School, Rhossili – surf lessons for all ages, right on our doorstep

🌊 Mewslade Bay – around a 30-minute walk from the farm, with rock pools, caves and plenty to explore

🌅 Rhossili – less than 2 miles away and one of the most spectacular spots on Gower

🏖️ Port Eynon, Horton, Oxwich Bay and Three Cliffs Bay are all within an easy drive too.

And then back to the farm…

Muddy boots off, settle in with a good film or choose a board game from our collection for a cosy family evening.

🍂 Autumn really is a lovely time to explore Gower.

The Beagle Barn proved to be the perfect fit for this little family, with its flexible spaces giving everyone somewhere to relax and unwind 💛

It’s one bedroom, but we have designed a bespoke mezzanine loft bed above the main bed rather than a clunky bunk bed — creating a cosy hideaway just for Harvey, complete with his own Smart TV 📺

So while Mum & Dad had their sleeping space downstairs, Harvey had his own little retreat above them — giving everyone a bit of their own space 👌

And we didn’t forget Blue! 🐾 With plenty of room to roam inside and a spacious enclosed garden outside, he had lots of space to enjoy too 🙌

And if Blue fancied a little privacy of his own, the stable door can be closed, separating the living space from the sleeping area — another little feature that makes The Beagle Barn work so well for families travelling with dogs 👌

Plus, with our fibre internet, you can rely on a strong connection throughout your stay — essential when travelling with a teenager! 🤩

It’s exactly what we love about the flexible spaces at Pitton Cross Farm — thoughtfully designed to make smaller spaces work brilliantly for everyone, including the fur kids of the family 😉 🐾

It really is such a gem having Mewslade Bay right on our doorstep and within walking distance from the farm 🌊🐾 with so many other dog-friendly beaches just a short drive away!

It was lovely getting to know you both (and beautiful Iris 🐾) during your stay in Nanna’s Bakehouse. We really hope we’ll see you all back at Pitton Cross Farm soon and you can enjoy the Mewslade Waves yet again! 🌊💛

💛 A huge part of Jack’s reputation has been built on the friendly, welcoming and personal service our clients receive from the moment they walk through the door or pick up the phone. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys looking after people and can combine that warmth with excellent organisation, efficiency and attention to detail.

📋 This is a hands-on reception role with additional responsibility for customer experience, including:

👋Supporting clients face-to-face and by telephone
📅 Managing appointments, payments and client requests
💬 Handling more challenging conversations, concerns and complaints
🐾 Helping manage the Jack’s Membership scheme
✨ Maintaining the high standards of presentation and cleanliness our clients expect
✅ Following through on tasks and making sure clients receive the updates they have been promised

🍂 Thinking about an autumn getaway? Nanna’s Bakehouse might be just the ticket… 🐾

When we first designed Nanna’s Bakehouse, we wanted it to be small, cosy and flexible — perfect for a couple, two friends, or a couple with a teenager, plus up to two dogs 🐶🐶

And over the summer, we’ve welcomed all three! 🤎

From couples escaping for a few days, to friends enjoying a little Gower adventure, and families making the most of a cosy stay with a teenager in tow, it’s proved that sometimes you don’t need a huge space to have a great getaway.

6 years ago today we adopted our beautiful Remy from Many Tears and now she’s 10! 🤎🐶🤎

She is such a brave girl having been through surgery for both cruciates, a slipped disc, and pneumonia - and last year she lost her sight 😞

She is still the most loving, wonderful little girl and we love her to bits - there’s honestly nothing more rewarding than giving an adopted dog their forever home 🤎

Remy is one of 4 of our 6 beagles adopted from Many Tears, and it is such a pleasure to meet so many of our guests who have also adopted their own Many Tears dogs too! 🐶🤎🐶🤍
