River Sewin Report
After many nights with little or no success, things are finally starting to happen on the river.
Lino Ch***pa has done it again, successfully landing two cracking sewin this week. The first fish weighed around 3lb, with the second tipping the scales at close to 4lb. It's fantastic to see the silver tourists finally arriving.
Both fish were taken during the hours of darkness on a floating line, using a top-secret fly tied by the ever-reliable Lyn Williams. Whatever's on that hook, it's certainly doing the business!
July is traditionally one of the best months of the season for sewin. The main runs are now pushing into the river system, and the shoalies are becoming increasingly active. If conditions remain favourable, the next few weeks should provide some excellent sport.
Congratulations to Lino on another fine brace, and best of luck to everyone venturing out over the coming nights. Hopefully, this is just the start of another memorable sewin season.
