Had a great trip weather ok, rained mostly at night, had guests from UK, Germany and USA, so lots of chatter. We were fortunate enough to see a water vole which was rather exciting.

Great trip with around the world guests. Germany, Australia and America.
Started in Middlewich on the Trent and Mersey Canal followed by the Macclesfield, Stafford and Worcestershire, Shroppie, Llangollen and finally the Middlewich arm and the shortest canal the Wardle Canal.
Beautiful weather, many signets and over 100 locks. A great trip.

Northwich to Norbury Junction

Starting this trip at the top of the famous Anderton boat lift, then headed to Middlewich onto the Middlewich arm to the Trent and Mersey Canal. Nantwich was next followed by Audlem 15 locks. A quick stop at the Shroppie Fly for liquid refreshments 😀 then onto Norbury Junction to our destination. Lots of game nights on this trip with laughter from our new Australian friend and fellow returning guests.

Another great trip started on the Trent and Mersey Canal and celebrated Vince’s 60th birthday. We had many deep locks on the trip also The Harecastle Tunnel which is 1.62 miles long, followed by the 26 locks starting at Red Bull. We finished at The Anderton Boat Lift which unfortunately is still not in operation. Lots of open countryside with wildlife including a Terrapin.

A great ring trip via Birmingham. Many locks with very helpful guests, weather very good for April. When we got to Curdworth there was a dry pound due a lock gate being left open, but
plenty of water above so not to much of a problem thankfully. Lots of liquid refreshments in local watering holes along the way. Saw our first Kingfisher in the marina 😀

Rugby to Stone
Another lovely trip starting on the Oxford canal at Rugby. Traveling through the Newbold tunnel passed the repaired breach at Brinklow. Passed Ansty arriving at Hawkesbury junction with its stop lock and 360 degree turn onto the Coventry Canal. Heading north passed Marston junction of the Ashby Canal to Nuneaton and Atherstone, going down the 11 locks passed Polesworth towards Tamworth. At Fazeley junction heading to Huddlesford and the junction to the Litchfield canal to Fradley junction joining the Trent and Mersey to Stone. Lots of birds but still no Kingfishers. Great trip had by all

Warwick to Rugby
Great start to our season starting in Warwick. Just a four nights cruise to get us to Rugby. The weather couldn’t have been better, lambs in the open fields jumping, birds chirping all day long, even an owl while we were in Long Itchington. Paired up with another boat while doing the Stockton flight which was a great help with extra hands.

Warwick to Stratford and return.
Had a great trip, weather was good, seeing lots of kingfishers and other wildlife. We did 148 lock in 7 days which was amazing trip with very helpful guests doing the extra locks on the Lapworth flight up and down. Great trip to finish the season thanks to everyone for an eventful season lots of changes but still kept moving which was a bonus.
Thanks for your support and custom. Looking forward to seeing you again next year.
