We’ve just added a beautiful new rattan outdoor lounge set to the patio – soft grey cushions, a matching coffee table, and extra seating so everyone can stretch out and relax.
Perfect for morning coffees with countryside views, long lazy lunches, or evening chats under the Somerset sky. Whether you’re soaking up the sun or winding down after a day exploring, this new setup is made for making memories.

We’re drawing a new line in guest welcomes… Quite literally.

Sweethay Meadow Lodge now has its very own line‑art welcome cards - a little creative hello waiting for guests the moment they arrive. Clean line art, warm messages, and a paw‑print edition for our four‑legged VIPs. 🐶🐕🐾

It’s the small touches that make a stay feel special, and we’ve loved sketching out this new way to greet guests.

Whether joining us for a serene escape, a celebration, or a tail‑wagging getaway, the welcome is now beautifully in line with the Sweethay experience. 🌹🎈💐

🏆 We’re incredibly proud to officially receive our 2026 Holiday Cottages Showcase Award for the Canine Collection! 🐾

The trophy has arrived, and what a fantastic surprise - it certainly has some weight to it! Now we just need to find the perfect place to display it. 😊

When we set out to create Sweethay Meadow Lodge, we wanted it to be somewhere that every member of the family could enjoy - including our four-legged guests. To have that recognised with a national award is something we’re immensely proud of.

This award belongs just as much to our wonderful guests as it does to us. Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us, supported us and shared such lovely feedback. Your kind words have helped make this possible.

🌸 A little more colour has arrived at Sweethay Meadow Lodge… 🌸

We believe it’s the little details that help make a stay that bit more special.

Over the last few days we’ve been refreshing some of our planters with beautiful summer flowers and vibrant succulents to give our guests an even warmer welcome. With the sunshine we’ve been enjoying, they’re looking absolutely stunning and adding a lovely splash of colour around the lodge.

Whether you’re relaxing in the hot tub, enjoying a morning coffee on the patio, or simply taking in the peaceful surroundings of the meadow, we hope these little touches make you feel right at home.

What a blazing start to the summer! While the sunshine has been a dream for sun worshippers, it’s been a challenging spell for farmers, with very little rainfall.

That’s why we’re delighted to be donating the grass cut from our meadow to a local farmer, who will use it as winter feed for his livestock. Despite the dry conditions - even with the help of our organic seaweed fertiliser - the meadow has had a tough season. Thankfully, we’ve still managed to produce enough bales to help keep the animals well-fed during the colder months.

It’s a small way of supporting local farming and making the most of what nature has provided.
