Our little guests have been having a fang-tastic time enjoying our Little Monsters Family Afternoon Tea at Little Silver Country Hotel.

From Halloween-shaped sandwiches and freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam to a selection of sweet treats, it’s the perfect excuse to get the family together and make some lovely memories this October half term.

Still looking for somewhere to host your Christmas celebration?

Kent Hall still has a small number of dates available across November and very limited availability into December, making it a great option if you’re only just starting to organise your festive plans.

The space can be completely adapted to suit the kind of celebration you have in mind. From a work Christmas party with food, drinks, music and space to dance, to a larger family gathering where you simply want everyone together in one private space.

You can keep things relaxed and simple or completely transform the hall for the occasion. With catering options, a private bar and plenty of flexibility around how the space is set up, there are lots of ways to make it your own.

If you’re happy to celebrate a little earlier, November still has a few opportunities available. And if December is a must, it’s worth getting in touch as soon as possible to see what we can offer.

CHRISTMAS LUNCHES, DINNERS AND A FESTIVE STAY ALL WRAPPED INTO ONE. 🎄

Our Festive Menu is available every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 18th November through to 23rd December, giving you plenty of chances to get together before Christmas.

Available for tables of six or more, you can join us for a festive lunch or dinner and choose from seasonal favourites including Classic Prawn Cocktail, Spiced Parsnip & Apple Soup, Roast Turkey with all the trimmings, Festive Vegetable Wellington, Christmas Pudding and Triple Chocolate Mousse.

Serving times:

6.30pm–8pm

Two courses: £28 per person
Three courses: £35 per person

Your meal also includes a Christmas cracker, coffee and mince pie.

We feel it is important to address the continued circulation of photographs and videos showing Little Silver during its previous closure between February and November 2025.

These images are historical and do not reflect the hotel as it is today.

Little Silver Country Hotel reopened under new ownership in November 2025 and has been fully operational ever since.

A tremendous amount of time, investment and hard work has gone into restoring and improving our beautiful hotel. Today, we proudly welcome guests for overnight stays, dining, drinks, weddings and events, with exciting plans ahead following the recent approval of our proposed spa and swimming pool development.

Whilst historical footage may be of interest, circulating images portraying Little Silver as an “abandoned” hotel without clear context is misleading and risks damaging the reputation of a fully operational business.

We have contacted the original author directly to raise our concerns and clarify the facts.

We are not disputing the hotel’s history, but believe it is important that historical content is accurately represented.

We also want to sincerely thank everyone who has spoken up for Little Silver, corrected misunderstandings and shared their positive experiences. Your support means an enormous amount to our owners and team.

Some dishes deserve their own moment, and our pies have definitely earned theirs.

We’ve had such fantastic feedback recently, from guests telling us they’re some of the best pies they’ve ever had, to visitors from overseas saying they only wish they could take one home with them.

Our chef is very proud of them, and rightly so.

So this post is simply a little appreciation post for the pies. If you haven’t tried one yet, now’s your sign.

We’re growing the Little Silver team.

We’re looking for a Housekeeping Assistant to join us at Little Silver Country Hotel in Tenterden.

This is a hands-on role for someone reliable, detail-focused and proud of keeping standards high. You’ll be helping to prepare guest bedrooms, maintain our public areas, replenish supplies, report any maintenance issues and support the wider team when needed.

We’re looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude, good time management and a strong eye for detail. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred, but it isn’t essential.

As with any hospitality role, flexibility is important, and weekend availability is essential.

In return, we offer a competitive salary based on experience and a friendly, supportive working environment.

A little change to our opening days.

From Monday 26th October, our restaurant will be closed to the general public on Mondays and Tuesdays.

But don’t worry, you can still pop in and enjoy a coffee, cake or something from the bar on both days.

Our Curry Night is also moving to Thursdays, joining our ever popular Steak Night, so Thursdays are officially becoming our night for a little something extra.

We’ll be open as usual for breakfast, lunch and dinner Wednesday to Sunday.

Our Little Monsters Family Afternoon Tea is officially underway, with availability still remaining throughout the October half term.

It’s all about giving families something fun to do together. A chance to get out of the house, enjoy a little Halloween treat and make an afternoon of it with the children.

Running from 17th to 31st October, 12 noon to 5pm, children can enjoy a Babyccino or Baby Choc, Halloween-shaped sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, plus sweet treats. Adults can enjoy the same Halloween-inspired afternoon tea with tea or coffee.

Up to 6 years: £10
Ages 6–12: £15
Ages 13+ and adults: £24

Dietary requirements can be catered for, just let us know when booking.
